La Flambee - Mirepoix

Ate here several times while staying in Mirepoix for two weeks. Always busy. Meals were always great, good service, no complaints. Menu du jour great value - 14 or 15 euros IIRC. Cassoulet was good, crepes were great. Check it out.

I have been to most of the restaurants in Mirepoix but I keep coming back here. It's tucked down a street off the main square. The menu du jour is 14.5eur and is always excellent. I cannot think of a better place to spend a summer's evening.

I have just realised that despite the fact I have eaten here hundreds of times, I have never actually reviewed it! Warm and cosy inside in the winter and busy and buzzy outside in the summer. It is a tradition that I have to come here with ALL of my guest and I have never had a bad evening. The galettes are wonderful, the service is always great and I always love the music. My only complaint is when the restaurant closes for a few weeks in February and I get withdrawal symptoms for an Ariegeoise!

Our last night of a weeks holiday in the Mirepoix area we dined here. Very good starter, excellent pizza which was very popular along with the moules marinière. Only slight let down was the dessert of crepe which was a bit overpriced.

The gizzard salad is one of the best that I've eaten combined with duck wings, fries, and an espresso, it was a good three course meal. Didn't actually need the salad that came with the main course, after having a salad for an entree, but it was good anyhow. One could choose from desserts or coffee, I chose coffee. I was not disappointed.

Good value tasty food especially the mussels and pizzas. Service is friendly and welcoming. English spoken. In summer,al fresco is an option. Recommend.

We love going to La Flambée in Mirepoix - it's our 'go to' if we don't fancy cooking! The food is good value, delicious and the staff are very friendly. The menu is reliable and includes local favourites such as salads, steak, duck breast, pizza, moules frites, cassoulet, etc., etc. The set menus are very reasonably priced and the portions are generous - they also do yummy chips! Whether you are a fluent french speaker or struggling to understand or be understood, they do their best to make you feel comfortable. The cosy interior ensures that, should the weather be unkind, you can still stay warm and dry, whenever you go.

Went along here for lunch on a Sunday. We live locally but have not been to La Flambée before. Welcome very good and immediately the waitress took a drinks order...a big plus for, us as in many restaurants in Mirepoix you have to ask for drinks. Menu is varied ...French plus Pizza. We ordered escargots and gésier salad to start....the salad was very good the escargots average. We both decided on the moules frittes which for 13 euro were very good. ...lots of moules and cooked perfectly. The creme brûlée and ice cream for desert were fine. If TA had a rating of good that's what I would award La Flambée but as they don't I feel Very good is justified as in terms of value for money service and the relaxed atmosphere it was very good
