Octopussy - Calvi

Just arrived on the island and at first felt a bit ignored. But then we were shown the blackboard menu. Not much help with the menu for the basic French speakers of us but we muddled through to choose a lovely pate as an entrée...More

Excellent food and service, good views of Calvi and the bay, large portions the food is well prepared and presented.

With enviable views of the Citadelle (as with all of the restaurants with beds), Octopussy is a really nice place to spend the day. Check when you arrive which beds are free, we settled ourselves on one at the front to then be politely moved. Once settled for a second time we spent the day watching the world go by. We had a nice meal in the restaurant, charcuterie, a mushroom risotto and an excellent local white wine. Along with 2 small beers a little later, the day was not cheap at €85 (€14 for the beds). However, we very much enjoyed it and you can't put a price on that.

Went for after dinner cocktails - loved the atmosphere - relaxing music, sat on deck chairs by the sea, good cocktails, chilled service.Would recommend it.

This beach bar/restaurant was recommended by our villa owners. The food was varied and cooked fresh. Everything from meals for the kids, Octopussy burger (try this), salads and snacks. The staff a really friendly and the bar/restaurant is right on the beach with an area in front with sun beds and umbrellas which cost around 15 euros a day. There is a beach drink and food service also.

Enjoyed a meal on the balcony restaurant at this beachside location providing excellent views of the bay and Calvi citadel. The food was good and the wine list limited but offering good value. The service was prompt and courteous. Booking not necessary off season but probably busier in July and August. There is ample parking nearby and the restaurant has its own station for the local train service.

My sister and I had a few hours to spend at the beach and this place was perfect.We did not want to be too far from town or where we were staying and to make it convenient to get picked up later on.The friendly service and location made it perfect. The colorful lounge chairs, small tables and being right on the beach made for a great afternoon in the sun. Close enough to the water for a dip, grab a bite of hungry and definitely an array of drinks!

Great food, simple and nice ... service could be a bit more attentive, but was friendly. No children's options :-( ... ours aren't fussy, they just don't always finish a but portion, so it is just a waste.
