Bad service, even worse food. The waiter is the cook and was obviously drunk. Shares outside area with nice restaurant next door, so be careful to choose the other (le cave de vin).

We come to the village every year for the violet festival, and this is certainly our favourite place to eat here. At lunch time it's very busy, but at night, we practically have the place to ourselves. The menu is limited, but everything is delicious. It really seems to be run by one person alone. They have always offered to make us something special, we have always accepted, and it has always been delicious. It's so refreshing after big chains always wanting to do EVERYTHING, to have a tiny place just doing one thing well. The decor is nice and odd and sort of ad hoc. It's not a glossy fancy place - but rustic and artistic. There's a very friendly cat which of course I encouraged shamelessly. I recommend the Kir Violette to drink, and whatever they care to make you to eat. If you are vegan, or going gluten-free or cutting calories or dairy, this might not appeal to you. It's a really unique dining experience. The place is just off the main square.

This tiny place is in a cellar just off the town square. I imagine it could get very hot and stuffy in summertime, especially as the kitchen shares the same space.Six of us had the couscous to share. There were large amounts of everything from lamb to meatballs. The latter were particularly good. Some things could have been hotter, though.Prices are average for the town, service a little slower. For a more quirky "en famille" meal, Le Cocon is the place.

We expected to be too late for lunch, not asking for a table until 2.30pm. However, the friendly waitress told us she'd clear one as soon as a large party left and we were sitting down to order within five minutes. The menu was short but adequate for our needs. Three of us had very good omelettes, filled with provencale vegetables, whilst our usually very fussy nine year old devoured a large plate of excellent ravioli au fromage avec sauce pistou. The service was unhurried, but we enjoyed the relaxed ambiance and the medieval village surroundings. Three ice creams completed what was overall a pleasant experience. We would go again if back in the area.

As it is difficult to find good vegetarian food outside the pizza/pasta range, here you can ask for vegetarian!DO ASK!Also gluten free possible.DO ASK!Marcella the cook and owner makes everything fresh in her tiny kitchen. So also on demand possible- speak to her, go find her in her kitchen! The weekends the COUSCOUS IS TOPAlso vegetarian couscous is possible! The terrace next to the church is very nice.We came sometimes with late plane and still got served (22h) so a big + for service to Marcelle. And the price is very reasonable. "cuisine familiale" is what to expect, don't take lemon chicken when you don't like lemon! (As I read some bad reports on the site)We find it a lovely place and go again every time we come in the village. Many guests I took there were as delighted as we!

We went for dinner.... Service was unfriendly and too slow, 10 min for 2 glass of wine, with only three tables. The food is definitely below the average, big quantity but without flavour. Furthermore they do not accept credit cards, only cash. One of the worse restaurants I have ever tried in my live.

This authentic French bistro has home made fare in a totally French medieval setting. It is without doubt the best couscous this side of Marrakech. Only available at weekends so make sure you reserve a table (there is limited space-especially in the winter months) Current cost is 15€ but I defy anyone to eat all that is provided. Copious and satisfying even when it is 35 degrees! Instead of the usual chicken and merguez this couscous comes with breast, shoulder and leg of lamb that simply falls off the bone plus lamb meatballs with spices and mint. Delicious. Marcelle also offers lovely deserts but I have never had room! Not open every day so do check first.
