Le Monde - Tourrettes-sur-Loup

Enjoyed a family dinner here on holiday, and found it excellent for a large group. Plenty of choice on the menu (plenty of seafood, meat, plus pasta and pizzas), and something for even the fussier eaters in our group :)Good service with a sense of humour, and all the food came together and fast.

Nous sommes arrivés après un long voyage vers 15 heures et avons été accueillis et assis pour déjeuner sans problème. Semble être un restaurant familial et servi. Le service était sympathique et la nourriture très bonne le premier jour. Les gens qui servaient parlaient également bien anglais. La deuxième fois que nous y sommes allés, mon fish and chips n'était pas aussi bon que la première fois. Les autres membres de notre groupe ont aimé la nourriture et l'entrecôte et l'agneau étaient très bien préparés. Dans l'ensemble, ce n'est pas la meilleure nourriture, mais c'est agréable et gai, une terrasse agréable pour déjeuner et un parking à proximité en font un endroit agréable pour déjeuner.

Nous pensions que ce restaurant serait sympa et servirait de la bonne cuisine locale, mais ce n'est pas le cas. Le restaurant semblait sympa car il possède une belle terrasse. Mais désolé de dire que la nourriture n'est pas bonne. Nous avons mangé en entrée ; fruits de mer frits, salade de chèvre et escargots. Les fruits de mer frits étaient horribles et par exemple les crevettes étaient frites avec des coquilles. La salade de chèvre et de chèvre était du pain grillé et la salade ne semblait pas fraîche. Les escargots étaient corrects, mais malheureusement il n'en restait qu'une portion, nous en demandions deux. En plat principal nous avons mangé du bar, du trio de poissons, des crevettes au bastis et du poisson.

Staff was friendly and the restaurant is in nice location. There is room for parking just across the street. There were five of us and we were the first ones sitting in the restaurant. Snails were good, but they could only make one plate of them for the five of us... They also didnt have the salmon from entrees. Salads were kind of disappointing. Also those who ate the menu (32e) had smaller salad than the rest. Shrimps had shells on them even though they were deep fried. Fish was good. Chocolate cake was okay and melted inside just as it was supposed to be. Floating island (or something like that) was kind of awful, egg whites and some sauce. Wasnt worth the money.

We had a lovely dinner for 12 of us at this restaurant. The staff were really attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Recommend the lasagne.

We have eaten here twice already on this trip and both times the food, service and ambience were exceptional. The menu is extensive with many dishes especially on comparison to most other restaurants in the area that offer a very limited selection. I can highly recommend the stuffed mussels, sardines, skate and the pizzas are cooked in a proper wood oven and are amazing and very large. The lady proprietor runs a tight ship and the place is always beautifully turned out and very clean. The ille flottante (sic) is the best I've ever had. The house wine is good and our waitress an absolute delight. If you're in the area make a point of eating here.

We did arrive at the restauraunt without booking a table,but there was only 1 other table occupied at 8.30 pm.Never the less,my partner and I did not have the dishes we chose due to the ingredients not being available.There were 4 dishes not available from the menu.The food was very average,my partner had fish and chips,the fish looked like it had been pressed into a shape to represent a piece of fish.My partner complained that they only offered us 3 pieces of bread.I had a Rossini,but the sauce wasn't available,so had was served some kind of mushroom sauce.Very very poor considering the price.

First visit to this restaurant but would definately go back. Good menu with something for everyone. Food was delicious and very well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful
