Le Carre - Senlis

This little restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at our hotel. We had to drive about 11 kms and find a car park in the narrow little streets of Senlis, but it was worth the effort. As suggested we booked a table out the back in the private terrace area, where we were entertained by a musician. I recommend booking. It's also useful to have a basic understanding of French, because the night we were there, the wait staff did not speak English.

We ended up here after we were refused a place in a restaurant by the church.Great place with lovely service. Food was great quality and not the cheapest though. If you are into fine dining we certainly recommend it. Open till 1am and not as it states above

We had given this place a look the night before but it being a Monday night it was not open . So Tuesday saw us back to try out - I have to admit it was the name that attracted me being a John Le Carre fan but I was not at all disappointed. It's quite laid back and you can call just for a drink or a meal. There is a good choice of set meals as well as a la carte and a good wine choice. The food was delicious and the service good. I managed to get their only English language menu which helped greatly. I would certainly eat here again

We had a friend visit us from the USA and decided to go to Le Carre for cocktails and they were fabulous, the terrace looked great and very tranquil to talk and chat with friends. Although I felt there were too many table's on the terrace, as if there were many people, you would not be able to talk as the noise would be too great. Less table's please and bring back the sofas as this added to the contemporary feel of the terrace.

In Senlis for the bank holiday weekend, visited here Saturday night. The staff were very friendly, the food was nice. Good value for money. The atmosphere was lovely, very inviting and romantic with a moan playing the piano. Fab!

This is our third visit with friends and family and the champagne cocktails are excellent so you must try, we eat in the restaurant it has a wide and interesting menu for all tastes, of excellent quality an cooking. the surroundings are very cool, cute lighting with a pianist playing in the background.The staff are very friendly and attentive to guests, so a big thank you and we will see you again soon.This is a great place to chillout after work.

Last weekend was the second time we went for cocktails and it was super, the external terrace is cool and bursting with cool vibes and ambiance. If you are in Senlis give it a try excellent !!

En route from Paris to Calais, a charming little town to stop for lunch, some places were already full but we were directed to Le Carre and welcomed in with a smile. Sat in a little courtyard at the back, cosy and quiet, prompt service and perfectly acceptable, typically French meal, steak tartare (which I have to admit we prefer to have cooked - but we did ask in French and they didn't seem to mind a bit:0.) Will definitely go again as we do this journey a lot.
