Ligging's just top. In an oasis of green and quiet, it's quiet in here. A British cook will get the freshly cooked dishes. The portions are small and simple, too simple! We had a simple chicken filet. We paid for a three-course menu. No "a la carte" possibility, 45 bucks a person, which is ridiculously much for what we got. This is frankly unworthy.
Jardin clôturé et personne aux alentours, nous n'avons pas osé pénétrer. Dommage car cela devait être certainement intéressant.
Reserved a table a few weeks back and it was confirmed. When arriving we found out the place was closed. The owner was on the premises, denied there was a reservation and basically implicated we are lying about the reservation. He refused to see the confirmation mail.He later contacted us, offered two bottles of wine as consolation but never said sorry.No reason to do business with these kind of restaurants as there are wonderful other places around. Try for example Sanglier Paresseux in nearby Caseneuve, Les Terrasses in Bonnieux or Coquillade near Apt.
Je ne pourrais dire si c'est bon car le restaurant etait ferme quand j y suis allé ..Malgré une réservation confirmée par mail .Le restaurant etait ferme le jour de ma réservation .Et cerise sur le gâteau je n ai même pas été prévenu ..Fermer car on manque de client cela arrive mais oublier de prévenir les clients qui ont réserver ?
Assiette froide et attente interminable... cher pour les produits servit.Je déconseille très fortement
We had a special birthday dinner at this restaurant in Saignon and were very disappointed in the whole experience. The food was nicely presented (what there was of it) but very ordinary. The wine was expensive and the "fixed price" meal terribly overpriced. The evening was saved by a most charming young waitress who couldn't have been more helpful and delightful. There are SO many other places to eat in this area, offering wonderful food at prices far below what Potager charges.Give it a miss.
We had a lovely dinner at La Potager. Though we were the only guests that evening - thanks to the late season and the stormy weather - we received a warm welcome, and were served with a fresh and carefully laid out dinner. The food was moderately creative and well made, and we especially liked the squash garam masala seasoned soup with baby shrimps and tomato, and the scallops main dish.
Andrew the owner/chef opened especially for us - it was the off season. The food was that day fresh bought locally. Could not fault the food - beautifully cooked & presented. The waitress recommended a good wine to pair with the food. Lovely candle lit ambience in the restaurant. Very reasonable price (set price) for the quality of the food. I only wish we had found this delightful restaurant at the beginning of our week stay, instead of the last day!
