We have been coming to this part of Corsica for 15 years and Frankys chicken has been a major part of lunch throughout. The man himself is lovely (and speaks excellent English with a London accent if you can get him to do it ). Thank you Franky and I cannot recommend you highly enough. (Ps one year we actually booked 15 miles further away which necessitated, by family demand, a long journey to get lunch.

Respite from the €20 hamburgers of Porto Vecchio.We stopped on the way back to our apartment after an uninspiring search for good casual dining in Porto Vecchio. Francky’s chicken is well seasoned and moist. The potatoes roasted to perfection. Three of us had two chickens, a large order of roast potatoes and two bottles of mineral water for €35, and we took a load of leftovers back to our apartment. If you’re looking for reasonably priced food in Porto Vecchio and are tired of pizza (if that’s possible), put Rotisserie Chez Francky on your list.Hint: This about takeaway rather than the picnic tables out front. The wasps are as drawn to the chicken as I was.
This was perfect for food of a picnic or or to take back to our room. We stayed on Playa Santa Guilia in the off season and there is almost no place to have dinner. Franky's chicken, lamb, pork, grilled vegetables and potatoes roasted in the chicken drippings provided several great lunches and some snacks and dinners. It is on the main highway from Porto-Vecchio to Bonifaccio, on the way to Palombagia, Santa Guilia or Rondonara, just at the end of town in Porto-Vecchio. In the afternoon (2-7), this and a very good boulangerie a little further down the highway may be your ONLY choice for fresh food, since the town really closes up for siesta. Franky is very friendly. Prices are great.
Freshly good spit roast chicken and fries made for an easy meal. The chicken lasted a couple of days for the two of us and even provided for some picnic lunches as well. A good low cost, easy meal option with friendly service
There are rotisserie's all over Porto-Vecchio. We tried this after a long day on the beach. It had a full selection of chickens and other meats, and potatoes etc. They charge the going rate of 10 euro for a chicken. The also cover the chickens in a tasty herb flavouring which our kids loved. This is definitely worth a visit as the cost of supermarket food and eating out is very expensive in Corsica.
This place is great to buy grilled meat, chicken and pork. Potatoes, Grilled Veggies as well. This place is open all day and is very accessible. Service is very good and friendly. Highly recommended.
They have two types of chicken: free range and regular. The free range birds are tastier and older so they are bigger and tougher. The adults preferred the free range ones, the kids the other ones as they were easier to cut and eat.
