Enfin une très bonne brasserie! Plats faits maison et excellent rapport qualité/prix. Accueil chaleureux, équipe sympathique et avenante. Bref très chouette découverte.... Le seul bémol : plats trop copieux, je n'ai pas pu finir mon assiette
We decided to try Brasserie Royal which was recommended in our tour book and we were very happy with the decision.The food and service was very good.We ordered steaks and shrimp off the menu along with a carafe of wine (a bordeaux) as well as desert.Everything was great. Give them a try if you are in Pau!
Very decent and lively location with beautiful old buildings around. Very good service and delicious French food and local wine. Must visit the restaurant and try local delicacies.
It's not up to the high overall standard of The Majestic next door but the prices are not the same either! Food was good quality and service was good. Will definitely return.
An average experience. The food was okay, the waitress talented and pleasent, fair prices and the atmosphere was okay - the game was on the big screen teles.
We spent a couple of hours sat outside on a glorious day, watching the hustle bustle of the market and the start of a marathon. Fantastic tree lined square, great spot to sit and enjoy a lazy afternoon eating and drinking. Service was a little slow at times, the food was good, nothing amazing or inventive just really nice food. 5 stars for the value and setting, we had a 12 euro set lunch and for the location it just represented great value
twowheeltours will be back to eat at this restaurant when we come back to Pau. We were there for the Haute Route Pyrenees race in 2015. We were hungry after a big day on the road bike. The serving size were large and very prompt. Thank you and see you again.
Enjoyed a good lunch at this restaurant. I had the Salade Landaise and my wife the Plat du Jour: Brochette de Canard. All very good. Service was also good and the staff very welcoming. Managed to get a British sized coffee with no problem. A popular place to eat for local government staff as the Mayor of Pau and his colleagues were sat next to us. Not really relevant but he too was receptive and paused his lunch to have a photo with two young customers. A good experience.
