We stopped by La Poya on day three of our ski holiday and met Antony and the others who work there. We had such a good lunch, that we didn't go anywhere else for the whole rest of the week. Antony made us so welcome, and always made sure the kids orders went in quickly so as to get them off to ski school in time. The children's menu was fab and reasonably priced. Everything home made, hot and there were clean plates all round. I was injured early on in our trip and Antony looked after me well. He knew pretty much all of our names after the first lunch too. Sitting outside in the sunshine with a vin chaud, a good book and a friendly face even went a little way to making up for my skiing disappointment. Handily close to the Prodains (and ski school meet up) I could hobble across to meet my friends and kids for lunch and then sit in the sunshine (and one day cosied up inside) till they came back for apres ski. The plat du jours were always lovely. The burgers were fantastic and the lasagne was so good that at least two in our large party ate it every day. The Croque Monsieur was out of this world, as was the Chicken Forestiere. Not as busy as La Tanniere next door, but definitely better. A warmer welcome and much better food. So glad we found this place.
