Comme le suggèrent notre note 4 et nos commentaires 169, nous n'offrons rien de moins qu'une expérience gastronomique de premier ordre.
We ate here on two evenings during our week in Kaysersberg and had the same experience on both occasions. The food was absolutely fine, but it took far too long to arrive, with a gap of at least 45 minutes between finishing our starters and getting our main courses. This was despite our group having pre-ordered our meals.Settling up was also a challenge as the staff seemed to have more important things to do than bring you the bill.
The meal we choose was a three course meal which had a starter of snails which was to die for. The main was veal cooked to perfection. We had a lovely desert. The staff spoke perfect english which is not very common. A real gem.
Our group of 10 people had lunch at this restaurant during November. We had no reservation, but were accommodated promptly, simple but delicious lunch menu, fast service, very tasty food and price-quality ratio was excellent. We enjoyed the visit very much. Dogs were also welcomed to this restaurant.
Great value for money, with extremely friendly staff, where nothing is to much trouble. and the staff are very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Surprisingly our dog was admitted and this gave us the possibility of savouring the excellent local escargots. Nice restaurant with very friendly service, located in a little but beautiful Elzas town. Plenty of caveaus in the neighbourhood.
Our group of 5 visit for lunch and find the waiter speaks good English and is very friendly, but thing go downhill from there. We order wine and later order food. Takes a long time to get our food and wine is served after the food arrives. Food is plentiful but not remarkable. Would not return.
Visiting Kaysersberg we needed a place for late lunch 2:30pm. They were so nice and we sat down outside enjoying the town. We and mom got each dishes that were so good, I got the Terrior menu and it was delicious . Also complemented with 1/2 l of local Riesling and you are really in Alsace. We had a great experience! Try it.
We had a package deal during our bike trip, and our hotel obviously had an agreement with this restaurant. The waitress gave us choice between two menues, and none of them seemed attractive. However chose traditional German sauerkraut (of which I got 1 liter!) and four kinds of salt meat - dry, impossible two chew - and not nice looking. The waitress was very clumsy, then she forgot us. It was impossible to get in touch with her, but finally another waiter saw us waving our arms. The everything got mixed up, we got food we did not want, more waiting, but finally came a plate with some small pieces of cheese, so I did not go to bed on an empty stomach. Keep away!
