Restaurent La Caverne Formidable Restaurent in Greoux Les Bains - Once again, Owner Frederic Montano produces an absolutely fantastic 3 course La Caverna menu, where you can choose between different starters, main courses and desserts. We got a fantastic menu that tasted wonderful as always and we could absolutely not eat more when we left from there.Many thanks to Frederic Montano's wife / staff for the perfect service we received.It is certainly we will come again and can warmly recommend everyone to eat at this restaurent so you are absolutely sure to get full value for money.But remember to book a table many people like this restaurent.
This little gourmet gem is in the center of a historic little town (there are thermal baths at Greoux, dating back to Roman times). We were lucky to walk in and get a table, just before main tourist season. Just a few tables, and the owner is waiter and chef. Yowzer. The set menus are great value for the excellence of cuisine. My foie gras creme brulee was an appetizer from heaven!
Passed this restaurant all week, every table reserved. Then one lucky night spotted a table without a reservation sign, and yippee table was ours! This was truly a wonderful experience, excellent, helpful staff. Food was amazing - truly fine dining. Highly recommend the avocado / Crab starter. Every course a delight, great wine and great atmosphere in this nugget of a restaurant. Book a head and reserve a table - will be a shame if you are in Greoux les Bains and don't get to try it.
We stayed a few days in Greoux-les-Bains in 2010/11? and we went to this restaurant twice for the same menu - it was sensational. I kept the business card and booked again when I knew we would be passing through in June this year. We experienced the same fabulous service, wonderful staff and amazing food. We were travelling for 2 months and, in a very competitive field including some of our favourites in Barcelona, this was the best dining experience we had. We will be back.

Had dinner with a colleague, very high quality food and friendly service (very limited English though). Nice central location, looks very pretty.
A satisfactory choice of regional dishes menu at excellent rates but , just to be honestly , accentuated use of heavy dressing! List of wines not in compliance with long variety of foods list.
