We had a truly wonderful evening at this superb restaurant in Charroux. The food, wine and service were all excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.
A wonderful find in Charroux. Madame Martel was a marvel, the food was fabulous, the wine delicious. Such an interesting restaurant. We thoroughly recommend this treasure.
An unexpectedly lovely meal and evenings from the outside one would not expect such a treat inside. All the food was delicious and the hostess was both knowledge and friendly. Unbelievable that such a great meal was provided by just two people, the chef and the hostess! Would recommend to anybody looking for something a little more special in the area.
An old, charming French restaurant. The lady of the house was very gracious and helped us with our choices. The pineaux and the wine were very good accompaniments. The meals were well presented and very enjoyable. The prices were a little higher than we would normally pay but as it was a family occasion it was more than worth it.
We visited on a Wednesday evening, just after 9pm. Although we had turned up at short notice the restaurant remained open for us, and we then enjoyed a delicious unhurried meal. All 5 of us had a superb meal, preceded by a glass of sparkling pineau. The bill including drinks and wine represented excellent value for money. We will certainly visit again.
Not notch French cuisine with some amazing flavours. Superb service and ambience. Well worth the ‘extra penny’.

My family and I ate here on the last night of our holiday. We were sorry to have not discovered it earlier. The meal was perfect from start to finish, we really liked the hostess and the look and feel of the restaurant was rustic and felt authentic. The whole dining experience was quite special. Would highly recommend.
