2 of us visited without a booking and were asked to wait 5 minutes for a table which not a problem as the waitress was polite and cheerful.The menu is full of regional favourites as we as great burgers with a local twist. So, whether you are looking for regional food well prepared or burgers of several types, this is a great place to visit. There is a decent selection of local and other wines and the food and drinks are well priced for the Chamonix valley. If you wonder about the rock n' roll pics on the wall and the vinyl album place mats, some ex-pats told us the chef/patron was a roadie for the big bands around Europe a few years ago, and the mix of local style and this memorabilia works well as decor. Give it a try.
Lovely and original food with good atmosphere. There was live sport in another part of the bar. Reasonable pricing
Called in here for lunch after seeing how busy it was the previous evening. Opted for crepes which were amazing (huge choice) we had 4 different ones between us. Very well presented & lovely - cider went down very well with them
It is a crowded restaurant but very informal. We had a set meal at 16 euros which is a very good price for what was a very tasty meal. It is a good place for a reliable meal, nothing very fancy.
Unpretentious restaurant/bistro/cafe/bar - difficult to put into a pigeon hole! Small cosy interior and outside deck by the road (all much nicer than this description sounds). Constant stream of local folks popping in to have a quick drink or just to say "bonjour" to the charming owners. Plenty of 50's and 60's music on in the background. Daily specials and regular menus give something for everyone. Reasonable prices - our measure on this is "two beers for under 6 euros". One of only 2 places that we regularly eat at in Argentiere.
Book if you want to make sure they can fit you in. Great place for dinner for 4 people, difficult if you are more than 6. Try the duck if it is on the menu.
