30/4 We just had our Sunday dinner in here. We chose the restaurant as it was near where we had parked and we knew it would start raining. We were warmly welcome by the server Mr Hans. We all took the 24€90 menu. For starter, my daughter and I tried the oysters, while my husband opted for the salmon. For the main meal, we all chose the fish. For dessert, its apple pie and crepe. Verdict: We were very satisfied as the service was excellent (three persons took turns in serving us and the service was at very good pace,) the food which were all good were nicely presented. I am that satisfied that I am even thinking of having my birthday celebrated in here!

I had the loveliest lunchtime meal with my sister in this restaurant. The service was friendly and the food was exquisite. We had a gastronomic menu ( she had won this in a competition, lucky us)! and the starter itself was a voyage of discovery. A beautifully presented plate of 3 crab raviolis, some queen scallops and a smooth slice of foie gras ( smoked salmon for my sister.) It was so copious we thought we would not have space for our main! The fish dish that followed proved us wrong. A gorgeous piece of turbot and some sole fillets with an assortment of steamed vegetables, served with a safran and truffle sauce, a delicate and very successful plate. By then we were thankful to have a little time before our dessert came. The quatro of home made sweets did not disappoint either. A little apple cake, some red fruit compote, an hazelnut mousse and a calvados granité ( the perfect palate cleanser.) We complimented the chef in person at the end of the meal and left feeling that this was a place well worth another visit. The other diners near us also looked very happy with their food and the comments we heard were all positive so it was not just us. A very successful lunch to celebrate a special day.

We chose this place on a whim and all four of us were very happy with it. The hostess and waitress were each friendly and accommodating despite the slight language barrier, the seafood was fresh and delicious, and the view was fantastic. The most memorable part was when the chef actually came out to greet every table one by one and ask how the food was. You can really feel the authentic vibe here. It was definitely the highlight of our visit.

We decided to try Le Narval based on a Rick Steves recommendation. The restaurant was still busy at 9 PM and we did not have reservations but they happily seated us. The 21 Euro menu was a great deal. TEN delicious Cancale oysters for an appetizer! I had the fish of the day for the main dish, which included rice topped with caviar and finished the meal with a delicious chocolate crepe. Yum!

We were drawn into the Restaurant by the appeal of the seafood offers on thr menue. It took long till someone was assisting us with a table. When wie were reddy to order, the waitress was not very friendly and urged us to order quickly. We didn't have the time to tranlsate the menue to our doughter. Also questions were not answered. We then decided to leave directly aus we didn't want to further experiment with the service,

The staff were good and friendly, the reason I gave it an average rating, but the food was poor. In a seafood restaurant in Cancal you expect excellence in the basic dishes such as fish soup (indifferent, lacked seasoning and that punchy flavour) and moules ( over cooked to such an extent they were falling apart.) We have been going here for years and loved it but this visit was a massive disappointment.

Have eaten here several times and always had a good meal. Very generous portions and lots of fresh seafood as you would expect from this area. Restaurant always filling locals

This restaurant was recommended by a local to us as a family run operation. The place is busy and the servers by and large keep it running smoothly. The food is decent and its prix fixe menus are good value. But if you are looking for a dining experience you may be disappointed.
