Ty Breizh - Cancale

Je n'ai pas encore essayé la nourriture, mais sachez que je ne reviendrai pas à cause du très mauvais accueil des serveurs les plus misérables du monde. Cela m’étonne toujours de voir à quel point des endroits qui sont clairement là pour servir l’industrie touristique peuvent être si peu accueillants envers les touristes ! Ou peut-être que c'est juste que nous sommes britanniques. Quoi qu’il en soit, c’est une entreprise qui mérite d’échouer, alors j’espère qu’elle ne sera pas là la prochaine fois que nous reviendrons. J'écrirai une critique séparée sur la nourriture si jamais elle apparaît.

La décoration du restaurant est magnifique, en particulier avec tant d'autres à proximité montrant leur âge, même rénovés. La place près du feu était parfaite et malgré le fait d'être très occupé, le service était parfait, en particulier de la part du propriétaire Rapha. Nous avons eu le plateau de fruits de mer, qui était tout simplement incroyable, et il nous a fallu plus de 2 heures pour le terminer ! La nourriture servie sur les autres tables avait l'air plutôt bonne, en particulier l'agneau (pré-salé) et tout le monde semblait plutôt satisfait de son repas. Cela vaut vraiment le détour et un bel endroit pour manger dans cette charmante petite ville balnéaire.

We had dinner in this restaurant for our kids' birthday. At the entrance there is a bowl of water for dogs, which are welcome here, unfortunately it's not the same for kids. The owners were very rude , kids asked for some pencils to colour and they received just 2 and the owner said he wanted them back . Kids were almost not allowed to talk , if they walked in the restaurant they would be sent immediately back at the table with a "sciò sciò " as if they were chicken. Food was below the average, we would expect higher quality for the price we paid.

We live this place. Very welcoming staff, lots of character. The menu has plenty of choice with lots of fish and seafood options, as you would expect. There is also plenty of choice for the job fish eaters. The food is beautifully fresh, cooked to perfection and exquisitely presented. I also sampled a fabulous Breton bier called Chat Malo. Gorgeous.

We ate at this restaurant in July 2015, the service was great and the food was outstanding. Especially the moules, which were probably the best we have ever had they were plump, tasty and plentiful. We have eaten moules all over France and decided to have the blue cheese variety at this restaurant it was a very good choice. If you are in this area you must pop in.

We took friends from Wales there and felt embarrassed that we had chosen such a poor restaurant in a town with so much choice. The food was terrible - there was more bone and gristle than meat in one of the pork dishes, our choice of wine was not available and they claimed to only have half bottles of water [at €4] instead of large bottles [€5.] The service was also poor.

Good food, great choice of seafood at reasonable prices. Crepes left a little to be desired BUT other courses were very good.
