We highly recommend you search out this little bar / restaurant when visiting Amelie. The food is superb and great value for money. There is always a warm welcome from Didier and Valerie and the service is always prompt, even when they are busy. Wonderful!

We ate here twice while staying in Amélie. Nice outdoor sittings, with beautiful views of the tree shaded Place de la République and the stone bridge over the creek. Wonderful ambience - one night a small band played tango music in the middle of the square, people got up and danced. The restaurant offers traditional/regional food, very affordable! Must try the grilled salmon with garlic aioli sauce, just delicious! Also don’t miss the signature l’Estaminet salad. We loved their sangria! Lovely family team runs the place: husband cooks, wife and son serve food and wait tables. They’re so sweet and friendly, we had many fun chat with them! Highly recommended.

Read the reviews and ought we should try this restaurant as we are staying between Ceret and Amelie-Le-Bains. We would, concur with previous reviewers, very friendly service, good honest food at a reasonable price. My daughter particularly liked the duck breast. Well done Didier keep up the good work

We happened upon this restaurant by accident one Saturday afternoon and are very glad we did.The food is very good and service friendly we visited a number of times so far during our holiday.THE PLAT DU JOUR IS EXCELLENT VALUE! And would highly recommend it.

I only have good things to say about L'Estaminet. Great value meals and a fantastic ambiance make this the best little restaurant in Amelie-les-Bains. Valérie and Didier are always friendly and welcoming. And on big festival days, Didier's paella is the best in the valley. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for somewhere posh, this isn't for you. If you're looking for very friendly staff in a smart but relaxed atmosphere then you won't go far wrong. This seems to be a gathering place for the older locals in the evening where they meet for a drink and some food over a chat or relaxing in front of the large TV on the back wall at the end of the day, however visitors are made equally welcome. The food is reasonably well priced for the quality - particularly the tuna steak which my partner said was absolutely delicious! Sadly some of the desserts were out of stock but the chocolate mousse with whipped cream and wafer on top was another nice and sizeable treat. This isn't a top quality place which I think some of the reviewers here are judging it against, but then it doesn't pretend to be. It is however a surprisingly good eatery in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I'd definitely visit again if in the area.

patronne seule en service , un peu d'attente mais nous avions le temps moules gratinées un peu décevantes , pas assez et trop cuites Profiteroles trop grandes et crème catalane pas extra l'emplacement est chouette - place tranquille , ville très agréable

Very standard style French cafe, for the region. Interior slightly past its best, like the region. But a good kitchen doing plates of decently cooked, hearty potions of meat/fish/chips/salad and ali-oli for about 10 to 15 euros depending on what you get. Friendly service, will be back for another lunch I'm sure.

Nous sommes heureux d'être ouverts pour toi. Tu trouveras nos heures d'ouverture actuelles dans le tableau. Ne reste plus jamais devant des portes fermées ! Car rien n'est pire que de chercher une place de parking, puis de marcher jusqu'au restaurant pour découvrir que tu es arrivé trop tard / trop tôt.
