My Food is a South African restau. A tavern hidden in a remote district of Montreuil close to Metro Robespierre. It plays rustic and tradition card with a tavern look, a large wooden table, ocre walls, a small bookcase, a discrete deco which avoids the mistake of exotism. Local dishes are rich and also rustic. My Food specialty is braa (SA BBQ). I came with colleagues including a South African guy. After biltong and Castle we shared chicken peri peri, lamb, boerewors (sausages), bobotie (minced meat), chakalaka (spiced veg), 1 bottle of Pinotage, carrot cake and malva pudding. All dishes were flavourful and spicy. Kobus the owner who seems to be a figure was infortunately away.I'll be back.
