Rendez cette journée spéciale en dînant à Le Vig Vog. Situé à Pinarello, Sainte Lucie De Porto Vecchio, Zonza, Corsica, France, nous sommes ouverts et enthousiastes à l'idée de satisfaire ton palais. It is hard to believe that the service in Corsica can be so consistently bad... (See my other Corsica reviews)... We were seated in the coveted terrace with nice view. However next to us were a table that was continually smoking cigarettes and cigars. When we asked the waiter if we could buffer seated at different table. The waiter offered a table without view in the pathway. Not a nice alternative do we decided to put up with the smoking... (Is it lawful to smoke in coveted terrace in France...??)We waited for over an hour before getting our appetizers.Finally, once we were served the appetizers and had eaten them, we waited ANOTHER 50 min and still had not gotten our pasta and our pizza... At this point we requested to cancel the mains and for them to bring the check. We were not in a hurry but to over spend two hours and still not getting our main course is too much.The service and attention was not bad it was just completely ABSENT...
The food here was mediocre and I have to agree with other trip advisor reviews to mention the prices were inflated. I had the Italian burger- it was nice but expensive for what it was worth. I also had a strawberry mojito however it was very weak and watery. The staff on the other hand were lovely. They were very kind (unfortunately slightly slow) but understood our English well. The ice cream was lovely and rich, which in some ways made up for the noticeably average main course.The scenery is also a beautiful view of the beach and harbour so it added to the ambience in the restaurant.If you do want to try this place out, one thing to remember is you have to book- we arrived the first time with a two hour wait. One reservation later and we had a table right by the beach.
Food mediocre, prices inflated and staff rude. I try to avoid bad reviews but on occasions will make an exception. We have been coming to this part of Corsica for 13 years and have had lacklustre dining experiences but this with especially poor. My 8 yr old daughter had, without me noticing put her feet on her chair. The front of house lady approached and without a word to me berated my child in French, which she didn't understand, and physically pulled her legs down. Fair enough the child shouldn't have had her feet up but really!! Also I noticed throughout the night a number of French children committing the same sin without comment from the lady concerned! You may draw your own conclusions. Apart from that it's grossly overpriced and the food wasn't great.
3 couples (American, British & German) dined twice here during our stay in Conca. The seafood, especially the frito mixto was outstanding; ditto the mussels and other fresh fish. Only one had a hamburger with was fine. Very generous portions and ordering an entree and a plat is more food than any normal person can eat––share an entree. But save room for the over-the-top ice cream desserts; not only works of art but can add serious centimeters to your waist. Most waitress are multi-lingual and very friendly. And you are right on one of the nicest beaches on Corsica should you want to swim; it's a very gradual beach so you won't sink after a lunch here.
On holiday so it's not the first time we have visited the restaurant. Inspired to write a review by the appalling service we received today, the waiter was rude, miserable and really gave us the feeling we were an inconvenience to his day. So much so it spoilt our meal. The food is ok, view is amazing but we won't go back. They need to be more selective in their recruitment.
We had a family lunch at this restaurant. Absolutely outstanding view and atmosphere with wisteria growing through the trellis. We mostly had salads which were very nice and generous. Prices were good. Salads around €10 and come with bread. Service was abrupt and bit rude sometimes but mostly ok. Perhaps it was our woeful French that was the problem! We also spotted some other diners having amazing huge sundaes.
We had dinner here while staying at La Pinerallo Hotel. I think that this restaurant is a nice fit for the area. The visiter is somewhat limited by the fact that Pinerallo is a very small village with limited choices in restaurants. We had a pleasant experience here. The food, especially the mussels and seafood, was very nice and our service was attentive, even though they were very busy. If you decide to dine here, I would make reservations and ask to be seated with a sea view.
My parents me and my girlfriend here for a meal as a treat which turned into a nightmare...The waitress was rude and took two wrong orders which resulted in us all eating at seperate times and they also did not apologise for getting the orders wrong. When the food did arrive it was tiny portions and overlooked for the rediculous price. They also tried to charge us extra for food we did not order and when we mentioned this to the waitress she snatched the reciept and said "OK just pay 10 euros less then" A dead atmosphere with rude staff and chain smokers. Avoid if you value your taste buds and hard earned cash..
