We ate a late lunch consisiting of classical entrecôtes and frites. The food came rather quicly and was done to our order. The meat, however, was of rather poor quality with lots of tendons which made it hard to cut and chew. The frites were ok. One advantage with this place is that it is open longer in the afternoon that the neighboring restaurants.
Really nice restaurant run by a family within the old city walls. Pizzas are great, but their salads and scallops are also worth your attention. Perfect for that relaxed lazy summer evening dinner we all dream of in January...
A shady table in a quaint corner of old Vence, a demi-pichet of rose (only 7 euros), delicious pizza and pasta, coffee, friendly and fast service - 38 euros all told. Who could want for more?
Nice cozy small restaurant in the heart of the old town, friendlier and more welcoming than most places. I had veal escalope and chips which was a little disappointing and the escalope didn't have much taste. My wife had a tasty pizza. We enjoyed a carafe of house red, very good value. For dessert, they had the option of a single boule of ice-cream sorbet for 2 euros, which was a nice way to finish our meal.
Lovely family run restaurant. Good food and good atmosphere. Pizzas are excellent as is the casserole of Scallops and prawns.
Food was good and prices very fair. service was nice even if it felt strange at some times. However the restaurant looks old and could use a lifting...
We did not like the noisy music and felt that indoors too many tables had been crammed in. The "daube" with gnocchi was lovely but the salads were by far too vinegary with not enough oil. Apart from the Danube much of the menu was good average.
After 4 holidays in Vence (and many restauant visits) we have decided that this is beyond doubt the best restaurant in Vence! The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is friendly and serviceminded. The prices are more than reasonable and this is definitely our first choice of restaurants when in Vence. Can't wait to be back!
