Ribambelle Cafe - Vaison-la-Romaine

Très belle découverte! Les propriétaires sont absolument géniaux et nous avons vraiment très bien mangé. Tout est fait maison, les produits sont très frais et tout est très savoureux. Les glaces sont à tomber. En plus les prix sont étonnement raisonnables. A ne pas rater à Vaison la romaine.

Super accueil avec une équipe charmante et accueillante ! Nous avons passé un super moment a la ribambelle. Produits locaux et de saison, cuisine maison. Des belles découvertes de saveurs mi provençales mi normandes. Le tout servi rapidement et avec le sourire. Bref on s'en rappellera, en bien ! PS : les glaces sont vraiment excellentes au passage !

Superbe découverte, petitt resto au calme avec terrasse ombragée, accueil chaleureux, une formule entrée/plat/dessert à 23€ avec des produits locaux et de qualité. A tester sans hésiter. Nous reviendrons

Visited for lunch last week. A lot of very touristy places in Vaison but we felt we had made absolutely the right choice. Three courses for 15 euros - all well presented and using fresh ingredients. Felt there was a definite attention to detail. Would certainly return.

I have to say this was possible the most appalling eating experience I have ever had in France. 9 meals ordered, 9 meals arrived well one arrived early was taken away and then redelivered half an hour later. So actually only 8 of the 9 arrived at some point during this dining extravaganza. I know mistakes can happen but to be told after an hour that the equipment required to make the missing meal was not working seemed slightly strange, not asking if we wanted something else from the menu seemed downright rude / incompetent. Having said that I am in a state of turmoil as the quality of my food was so bad that maybe not having a meal delivered might have been the best option!

We spent 2 weeks in and around Vaison-la-Romaine and visited Ribambelle Cafe several times. Even though there is quite some choice of restaurants in town, we always came back. We first had the home made Ice Cream as a take away (try the Fleur de Lait or the Coconut flavours)!. This was repeated a few times and by the third visit, the owner, whose name we don't know and therefore will be called Maître from now on, knew our tastes and portion size and served accordingly. On the day of the "Fete la Musique", presumably one of the biggest festivities all year, with the whole town packed with tourists and locals alike, we managed to get a place in the Ribambelle. The Maitre was managing the masses single handedly alone. He handled everything with amazing speed (and grace)!. We ordered burgers, not expecting much, since the place frankly does not look like one of those premium burger locations that spring up all over the continent (I'm talking about Europe). But then: the burgers. They genuinely looked and tasted home-made. This might sound as if the review here is sponsored (it isn't)! but for me this burger is a reference. And with fries that were clearly top quality. By that day we were treated like regulars, and felt right at home. One of those vacation experiences we will not forget. Thanks, Maître.

The restaurant Ribambelle cafe is slightly off the main street connecting the main part of vaison la romaine to the bridge leading to the mediaeval part of the city. It is definitely worth the effort to find since the proprietor makes a great effort to provide quality food combined with excellent service. Specials are listed on a board and we found varied choices each day which were enjoyed on an outside patio. The quiet and pleasant environment of the cafe complimented our meals.

Visited twice and chose their burgers which are exceptional. Their potato fries are the best we have experienced in the world. I must try to learn their secret.
