We were passing through and went on the off chance of getting a table as it usually requires reservations. We were in luck and got a free table outside under the shading. We were anticipating a treat and were not dissappointed. We had salad and charcuterie for starters then bavette, fish and confit of duck were our mains. No photos unfortunately, probably too distracted by eating them. The wine was a local Rose which was superb. A long French lunch which will be a great memory for us for some time.

Found this lovely little restaurant quite by accident on a trip out. The Menu du Jour was excellent and the glass of Rose was lovely. We'll definitely be going back.

We came here in June 2017 for a birthday lunch. Stunning food and drink, coupled with very good, warm and friendly service. Beautiful.

Do make a reservation! This is a popular restaurant, and for good reason. The food, atmosphere and service were all very good. We had lunch here during the town's cherry festival (Fetes de les Cerises) , and were lucky to get a table. The food was amazing. We chose the cherry- themed menu, including a light crispy crepe filled with chèvre and a little bit of cherry served on top of a salad of spring greens, a few fresh cherries and a few slivered onions; then confit de canard with a light reduction of cherry preserves, sautéed vegetable, and the best fried potatoes I've ever eaten; then a little plate with three different cherry desserts (sorbet on a tiny tart, clafoutis, and fresh cherries briefly cooked in syrup... and a few fresh cherries as a garnish - a spectacular finish for a truly delicious meal. The bread was superb as was the local and very dry rose'. Good service, and we were never rushed - a wonderful traditional slow French meal- savor every bite!

La Table had been recommended to us and we were not disappointed. We each chose a set menu and enjoyed fish mouse and Camembert toasts, barbecued pork and beef, and creme brûlée and chocolate gateau with ice cream and strawberries. Each dish was delicious. The flavours of the pork and the potatoes were incredible. We sat near the fire grill and appreciated the aromas and the techniques used to cook the meats to perfection. Service was excellent with wine suggestions and obvious pride in the local produce. Try the digestif lemon liqueur for something special. Good value for beautiful meals and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We booked for a Sunday lunch with some old French friends who travelled up from the South. lucky we did book...the place was absolutely full....but despite this the husband and wife team did a marvellous job looking after us.Meals of local beef marrow in the bone were a highlight. As were the claims ...which was unexpected given our distance from the coast but the hostess recommendation was correct.Prawns and beef dishes...all barbecued on an open fire also received things up. Wine list is expensive and caters for all tastes.Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area...or even of you are staying in Carcassonne and want a regional eating experience.

In the small and very authentic village of Trausse Minervois, You will find this amazing gem among French Restaurants. Elegantly decorated, fantastic service... And the food: Simply The Best! The wine list is also very impressive. With the wines of Minervois, You just can't go wrong! The Lunch Menus are "to die for". Yesterday I had a wonderfully creamy soup, perfectly cooked Joue de Porc and a simple but stunning Fromage Blanc with Chestnut Creme. 14 €... Dont't forget to make a reservation!

You can always tell a restaurant by its popularity and the speed that this place filled up on a Friday night suggests it attracts a wide crowd. In early September it was a mix of tourists and locals. We were all seated on the terrace and were presented with a big blackboard will all the goodies on offer. Chose a three course formula for around €21. Plenty of choice. When it comes to wine there must have been 40+ wines on offer. Everything is local and by this within a few miles. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good despite a very busy evening. My main course (squid) was excellent while the pudding also scored top marks.A real find and a restaurant that deserves the recent high scores received on Tripadvisor.
