Le palais de chine - Strasbourg

Had dinner there. Only one staff, perhaps the lady boss, could speak English. She recommended a chicken dish- crispy chicken with fried ginger and chillies. Was really good, first time tasting this type of cooking in a Chinese restaurant in Europe - with fried ginger and chillies. This is as close as Asian cooking I've tried in many of my Europe trips thus far. Good choice of dish.

I went here with a Chinese friend of mind, here is the conversation they had after we were served poultry instead of the pork we ordered: "yes, is it chicken. Ah, no, it's some really good pork that resembles poultry" however they changed us the plate with pork: breaded fired chicken. I have nothing else to say.

Dim sim starters were fantastic, recommend. Staff attentive and very polite despite my poor attempts at French. Two tsing tao beers, dim sum starters, beef n mushroom and special rice came to €28. Will return before I end my trip.

We wanted to have some asian food during our stay, fortunately hit this one during one of the random evening walks. Quick browsing for the reviews and we were good to go. Quantities were very good (including that of tea-) 2 1 of us were full to the brim :)

We visited last week on a 4 day visit to the city. Had walked around most of the day and came across this restaurant beside the river. We were alittle early at around 6.30 pm, they open at 7pm normally but let us in anyway.....Fantasic Chinese meal, several courses and a bottle of wine, water etc for 3 only cost around 80 euros, very good value expected more in the city centre. Service was great , and its immaculate on the inside, very well presented with proffessional staff serving. A restaurant i would certainly return to again, well recomended.

We've enjoyed great Chinese and Asian cooking in Hong Kong, London, San Francisco, and even more exotic locations in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos and still were delighted to find this fine little restaurant in Strasbourg just beside the river. The staff is helpful but not English-speaking. Not a real problem, though, since people familiar with Chinese restaurant food in the US will recognize almost all of the menu items in French and German. The egg rolls (here called Vietnamese nem) were crispy, not oily, and well stuffed with meat and vegetables. Sweet and sour pork was quite good, as were the fried noodles. The best item we enjoyed was the steamed dumpling stuffed with shrimp and pork. Prices are very very reasonable, and a good sized meal with a full liter of rose wine was just over 35 euros.

Great food, quite expensive but worth the money. Very friendly staff.

the noon a flat menu dessert for 10 euros....imbattable super quality,patron very nice. more tablecloth and cloth towel.
