Restaurant Mezzanine - Samoëns

Excellent food, beautiful plating. Outside seating is nice on a cool summer evening (not in the middle of the loud main street).

My colleague made a dinner reservation for 9 which was confirmed by email. When we arrived it appeared the email reservation had not been properly recorded. We weren't offered a single word of apology despite showing the reservation. We were simply told the restaurant was full so please "go away, we are full"! The staff reluctantly accepted a phone number in case there was a cancellation (done in desperation as we a hungry group of 9!). However, it was taken with the message "don't call us, we'll call you". Truly awful customer service.

Well presented restaurant with good design and spaces for dining. The steaks are particularly good. A slightly more extravagant evening but great for group meets and romantic dining. Tucked away In the heart of Samoens, it is definitely worth a visit.

Mezzanine is the premier steak restaurant in town. Wild boar, if listed is also excellent. One or two decent Bordeaux feature on the modest wine list.

The poor rating is not reflective of the food, but of the manager and his attitude when we showed up for our reservation one night and was told they didn't have any record of our reservation and there was nothing he could do. Our reservation was confirmed via email and when we showed this to the manager he said it was simply not possible and didn't offer to help in any way. We were a large group and were very disappointed with the way they handled this mishap on their part. One star for rudeness and unprofessional conduct. We managed to find another place in town and were glad that we didn't wait for the restaurant to call us back as they never bothered to do this even though the manager said he would call us when they had a table later in the evening. Give your business to another more deserving establishment!

We had a booking for 9 people, confirmed a month before our visit by email. Turned up, but the table was not available and the manager said our booking was not in their books. Very flippant response when the email confirmation was shown. If you're very keen to go, ensure you regularly confirm you booking to avoid disappointment.

Looked empty from outside which made us question whether it was good to eat or not. However when we went upstairs it was quite busy. Lovely looking restaurant, very good service, good selection on the menu and most importantly the food was very tasty.Definitely go back.

This restaurant is outstanding. Efficient friendly service, freshly prepared local dishes and steaks are superb, cooked to perfection. Desserts also excellent. Request a table on the first floor. Digby plays jazz piano on Tuesday and Saturday evenings which adds to the overall relaxing ambiance. Will definitely dine here again.
