La taverne Italienne - Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer

Je viens chaque année aux Saintes marie de la mer . Cette année je choisis de découvrir le restaurant la taverne italienne Très très bon accueil ! Nous avons une fille de mois , restaurant équipé bébé ! Chaise haute gobelet en plastique . Pour faire chaque année des restaurants différents aux Saintes c est la première fois que je tombe sur un resto équipé bébé au village ! Autre point positif : la plupart des restos au Saintes ne prennent pas la CB ! Eux oui . Nous avons choisis le menu à ,telline avec sauce a l ail en entrée pavé de taureau avec sauce au bleu et riz camarguais flan caramel. La totalité du repas était très bon ! C était du fais maison ! Nous sommes en plein mois d août avec forte affluence en pleine feria dy cheval . Malgres tout le service est assez rapide , personnel réactif ! A la fin du repas nous sommes venu nous voir pour nous demander si nous avions bien manger ,si tout c était bien passé ! Pour résumé restaurant familial malgré un grand nombre de couverts , personnel réactif a l écoute , repas fait maison ,très bon rapport qualité prix ! Équipé bébé avec un petit cadeau pour chaques enfants et beaucoup de BiENVEILLANCE à leurs regards ! Bref je valide je reviendrais restaurant adopté ! A l été prochain !

Located by the church on a little square, La Taverne Italienne appealed to us and as we walked in we were nicely greeted by the 2 ladies manning the place (the waitress told us she had been working there for 21 years which is good sign). The 17.50 euros menus was good value for money and I had the lunch formule @15.90 (monkfish and desert). The Paella pot that was just next to us sounded also very good. Food was not exceptional but rather good, service attentive and friendly, overall atmostphere nice.

It was raining, and they managed to find us a table even though the restaurant was nearly full, good food, great staff.

As is often the case in France, it was difficult finding anywhere in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer that was open for dinner earlier than 7pm. We were hungry and tired after a long day of driving and so decided to dine at this touristy-looking place, as it was one of only a few open choices. The service was friendly but casual - our French is poor, so it was likely the reason I needed to ask twice for my glass of wine. We ordered conservatively - the ubiquitous mussels and chips. Chips were pre-frozen and forgettable, but the mussels were juicy and sweet and the simple sauces delicious.

Visited this restaurant twice during recent stay in Saintes Maries de la mar. First time we thought service was good and the food good. After six days and nights eating out we see that this restaurant is excellent in every way, we visited again to be sure . I must praise every member of staff as they are all first class. Food is good also and freshly prepared to order. This is a good standard to set other local restaurants by. They will not beat it on food or service in the busy tourist part of Saintes Maries De La Mar.

We did not eat here - walked out before ordering. On arrival we ordered an apero, but it did not arrive. When the waitress eventually returned to take our food order we asked to wait until we had our drinks. She said no - she wanted to take our food order now

Great restaurant for lunch. The telines in cream and garlic sauce to start were to die for. we had the seafood risotto which was excellent. nice table. good service. great wine...and sunshine perfect lunch!

It is located in a corner of a street full of restaurants of all kinds, just a block away from the stone church. A very tempting Paella invited us in....also it was the one with the most people and everyone seemed very happy. It was a very busy afternoon and we had to wait for a table (we were 8). We tried the paella witch was as good as it looked and also other choices that were also good. Even though they were very busy food came soon. Good price and good quality and service. It is worth a try.
