There seems to be a shortage of good bistro restaurants wherever I end up in France. Perhaps they are a relic of better days in French cuisine. This restaurant shows what can be done to update the bistro for a more modern time. Congratulations to the owners for doing a great job. This is basically a shop where you can buy great food and excellent drinks (including beers produced specifically for them I think) but if you like you can also sit down and have the same food and drink cooked and brought to your table. The kids had croque-monsieurs followed by a local cake. I had beef cheek stew followed by Rhum baba. My wife had vegetarian salad. The range of food was superb, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Oh, and the beer was great. Nearly 5 stars.

Nourriture bas de gamme par rapport au prix payé. De plus, le patron est très malhonnête et rempli de vices car il sous entendait que tout était bien alors que j'avais demandé un sandwich qui au final était sans pain (un comble quand même)Profite des personnes étrangères et touristiques, une mauvaise hygiène et non respect de la propreté dont le non-port de charlotte, ni de gants.Une inspection sanitaire ne serait pas de refus ... À éviter surtout /!\

Des plats très cher pour la qualité..C'est une friterie de bord de route : pas de service à table ,on vous hèle grossièrement quand il est temps de venir chercher son plateau au comptoir, inconfort, mobilier type table de camping gras, odeur d'huile tenace, salle surchauffée et bruyante, poubelle qui débordent.Le pire est l'attitude de la patronne qui est d'une crudité choquante et d'une mauvaise fois sans limites, à plusieurs reprises elle répondait aux réclamations des clients "ichi on ne fait pas de manière", c'est sa façon de dire : si vous n'êtes pas content allez vous faire voir.Les tarifs sont élevés pour 15 € vous aurez une entrecôte frites mais il faudra en plus payer la sauce servie dans une mini barquette et un supplément pour le pain, pas de carafe d'eau. A ce tarif dans le centre du village vous avez un service à table dans une assiette posée sur une nappe.Nous nous sommes clairement senti dans un piège à touristes.Je ne vous parlerais pas des toilettes !!!!FUYER

We had morning coffee here to begin with and then continued our exploration of St Valery. On the spur of the moment we decided to have lunch here, and they quickly arranged a table for eight of us. The choice of food was good and my wife was especially pleased with her mussels, which was served in a very large dish. Another one of our group had a Caesar Salad, which was also very good. We ate on the terrace over the road from the restaurant. I would recommend this place without hesitation
