A great central location, good service and nice food. I was particularly impressed with my flamennkuche - I'd never had this before and it was delicious. The children's menu was reasonably priced and the children particularly loved their crepes for pudding. The carafes of wine are good value.
Our hotel recommended two restaurants alongside one another and gave us 10% discount vouchers. We chose this one because I quickly found a dish which would be happy with my sensitive gut. The plus was it offered pomme vapeur as an alternative to frits. It was not cheap but you get what you pay for.
As a party of 10 people, with differing tastes the menu suited all members of our group.The food was of good quality and was economical. To sit outside in the square and enjoy a hot evening with friends the restaurant offered the perfect choice.The waiting staff were excellent, providing a swift level of service and presenting the food to each person without fuss or confusion.The menu was varied and the food was served hot.Highly recommend the restaurant.
My family of 4, having enjoyed afternoon drinks at L'Univers decided to return for an evening meal.Set in the very pretty town square, we sat outside and had a lovely meal.We sat in the outside area nearest the building as the other areas were smoking areas.Staff were pleasant enough and looked after us well. The food was excellent in quality - we ate the rib-eye steak, chicken and mussels between us and all meals were really enjoyed. We finished off the meal with crepes which were also very good.The cost for 4 people was in the region of 80 euros but this was still very good value for the quality of the food we ate.
Prices of drinks and food do not disappoint in here despite of its posh status. This place is a landmark in Saint Quentin and still stands the test of time after more than 40 years.
The mussels here are the most popular item on the menu, for a very good reason, they are delicious! Perfectly cooked, generous portions, and are as good as any I have ever tried. The four cheese pizza was also excellent and makes great use of some wonderful local cheeses. The staff are happy to speak English and are as happy helping you understanding the French menu, as they are providing one in English.
Was brought here with a tour group and very happy I was. Good enough to go back to the second night. Everyone seemed pretty happy with their grub and I thought the snails were as good as grubs can be. Probably due to being drowned in garlic butter, but good grubs!
3rd visit this year, food is not Michelin star standard but is good, tasty and reasonably priced. Popular with tourists and locals. Has become our preferred eatery when in St Quentin
