Spey River Bar Brasserie - Saint-Omer

I have been coming here for 30 years and yes it has changed so much at one time you could sit outside with hardly any traffic going round the square but nowadays the traffic is continous and rather spoils the ambience of eating outside but...More

Lovely place. Staff nice. Used several times before. Drinks are good. Good selection Cant wait to go back.

South facing with plenty of outside tables. Polite and efficient service, with English speaking staff. Free parking on the road in front or adjacent to the main car park Grand Place.

1st night we went here brilliant atmosphere friendly welcoming staff they only do lunch and are a bar in the evening. 2nd time we went were served by surly Viking looking bloke who served one beer in a cracked glass very nice

Only had a few drinks in this bar/brasserie, we didn't eat there. We watched the England Russia game in here. There was a good mix of English and French people, there are a number of big screens, so it is good for sport. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. Would definately go back if in Saint-Omer again. The bar is also situated in a good location on the square in Saint-Omer.

We did not eat here but went every evening for drinks. Friendly staff. The house wine is fine but chablis at 3 euro and luberon at 2 euros per glass were better. Large range of draft beer also sells bottles of strong Kriek which is lovely. Free nuts, olives and crisps served with drinks in a rather haphazard way. This place became our 'local' during our 4 night stay.

The Spey River Bar is great for a beer, but don't expect food at night - only at lunchtime. One small disappointment was that they ran out of some beers. The hot wine was special and inexpensive.

Popped in here a couple of times during an overnight in St Omer. Nice mix of locals and an amazing selection of draught beers( nearly all Flemish) Give it a try, you wont be disappointed
