We stopped here before going to Geneva . Plate of the day duck for Rox and lamb for me accompanied by large coffee expressos all very good, fast and nice service very pleasant overall. We noticed it is very popular with locals, always a good sign.

Very good business dinner with friends/colleagues into this typical St. Julien restaurant. I definitely appreciated my Rossini fillet: amazing, I love this French/Italian preparation (you need to love fois-gras).I also enjoyed snails starter, this is 100% French and was stunning as well.Personnel is very professional and prepared: I appreciated that the only woman was served as first (for woman I humbly suggest menus without prices), with meat against the customer.

We've been frequenting La Diligence since we moved to St-Jul five years ago. Mr. Favre, the Chef, has wonderful fresh oysters during the season and keeps his menu topped with traditional French bistro dishes such as Tête de veau, Langue de boeuf, Steak and fries, and assortment of fish, as well as some regional Savoyard specialties, great tartiflette being one of them. To date we have never been disappointed in the service, the food, or house wine - which is always fantastic. Mr. Favre will come greet his guest every evening, and often offer a drink on the house. We grew to love La Diligence, spite (or maybe because of) its unconventional decor. If you are looking for a pristine French bistro experience close to Geneva, look no further.

this wasn't the first time i've been here. however, this was a time i wished i hadn't come. the wait for food took over 35 minutes, and regulars got serve much in advance of us and it wasn't what i expected. the demeanor of some of the staff was abrupt.

In the centre of small town Saint Julien en Genevois, just outside of Geneva. Typical French Menu with a fairly large choice of traditional dishes at affordable prices. Good value for money. Correct and timely service.

In Geneva, la Diligeance, when it comes to the game season, is a myth. Everyone ask you if you went there to eat the venison. Well, it was an ok experience, the food is not strickening, and the wine list is just expensive and poor. In general rather overrated,
