This is a great place to get a simple meal. Nothing fancy - not fine dining, but great "comfort food." Entertaining owner, who will joke with the clientele (at least in French). The place caters to locals - has a bar adjacent to the restaurant. After a hearty greeting, one is invited to sample the buffet for starters. A main dish follows, and then a choice from a dessert tray and cheese. A meal includes wine and bottled water. All for about 12 euros.
From the moment you enter, you realize this will be a special experience. The Owner is very engaging, funny and personable. The food is truly great comfort food, catering to the routiers, or truck drivers, tradesman and locals who stop by for a reasonable meal of great value. A buffet of starters is followed by a main dish and a selection of a dessert from the dessert tray. A bottle of house wine and a bottle of water accompany the meal. Nothing fancy, just great family style eating at a very reasonable price.
Repas à 12€ simple et bon avec vin et eau, l'assiette de fromages et le buffet d'entrées. Choix de deux plats. Le patron fait vivre sa salle. Avec le café (très bon): 26€ pour deux.Bonne adresse à recommander.
Have visited many times. Good basic food served with wine and water for a bargain price. Buffet starter, hot dinner, cheese and pudding. Enigmatic chef. Full of local people, tourists and truckers. Has a bar and small garden. A real favorite!
Schneller, sehr freundlicher Service. Mittagsmenü für 12 € umfaßte Entrée am Büfett mit zahlreichen Salaten, Wurst und Paté, einfache plat du jour wie Leber, grüne Bohnen, selbst gemachten Kartoffelbrei, Käse und Dessert. Espresso 1€. Großer Speisesaal.
