The inside decoration is fresh and modernThe staff is welcoming and caringWe tried the mussel with cream and chorizo / the salad with dry ham and goat cheeseThe cream and chorizo mussel lack of taste. It is not a delicate taste. The french fries are excellent!!! Strongly suggest itThe salad was huge for french standards and seasoning excellent. The café gourmand is not worth. It lacks of yummy according to our taste.

Called for dinner on Sunday evening having arrived by air that afternoon and somewhat hungry. Eventually chose the plat du jour (fish on a bed of vegetables) which was very good, tasty and filling, but made a mental note to copy my niece and have the Parillado next time (and there will be a next time) as it looked even better! Food is generally good and mid-range pricing (€40 per head including drinks) for SJdL while location is excellent with sea views over the bay.

We visited for lunch on the first day of our recent visit to St Jean de Luz and were very impressed, both with the food and the very friendly service courtesy of Clarice. We then returned on two other occasions during our visit. We sat inside each time as the outside seating area was always very full and it was good to have a break from the very hot and sunny weather (25-35C on most days). The salads were very good as were the moule frites. I had the local version with finely diced chorizo in the cream sauce which was delicious.

This quiet little restaurant is just off the beach. We were the only customers when we arrived for our early dinner (other customers arrived later on). The steak and fries were good, but the paella was the best we had during our Spain and France vacation (and big enough that two people could have shared it). The service was friendly and efficient. I would go back if I ever get back to the area.

Stopped for lunch and drinks. The interior is charming and modern with a nice view of the Beach walk and people strolling. There is an outdoor area also right on the boardwalk. The food was good and large portions, we had paella which was good and a salad. Service was quite efficient and friendly

We were lucky to be in town Easter weekend - where the sun shined & temperatures were in the high 20's. Maybe that reflects on our views - but we were strolling by & looking for a place to eat that is not fast food for an early lunch - what better place with a view overlooking the beach & sea front. the service was very friendly for our small family with 2 young girls as I think we were the first to arrive just before they started serving at 12.00 - midday. Have to say the food was better than expected. King prawn salad with ham - just excellent as was the chiperones, mussels & also steak. We were only in town for a short while & think there is a high standard of food looking at the options - but this choice also great for our lunch outside in the sunshine.

We were in there on the first day it was open this year, prompted by an early Easter. The chimney for the wood-burning stove obviously wasn't hot as several times the air filled with smoke. That aside, on a quiet evening, the service was charming and the food (unsurprisingly) fresh and enjoyable, especially the starter tapas selection. The moules came with an apology as they had been sourced in Scotland, but at least were hot and a proper-sized portion.

A great choice for a dependably good meal with plenty of local elements and sunset views over the beach, worth the price without being exceptional for it. That's still better than many places! If you are hungry the paella, whilst not purist, is delicious and more than enough for "un faim du loup"!Service is friendly and cheerful, obviously a bit stretched when its packed but one can live with that when they remain cheerful about it (as they do).
