Le Cafe de la Plage - Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez

Walking along the coast and came across it. Food excellent. Staff very nice. The view was lovely. Looking out over the atlantic. service very good.

We had a late breakfast there for two days. We very much enjoyed the food and drinks served (very good bread and croissants, fresh orange juice, fruit salad). There is a nice and cosy atmosphere. Owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

We had been promising ourselves a gorgeous meal at a beautiful romantic looking restaurant overlooking the sea but on the night it was fully booked!! Having been to Le Cafe de la Plage during the day, we headed there instead. It was busy with the waiting staff flying about from table to table but after a short wait we were fitted in. The meal was great, typically French, wine and service both lovely. Best of all was that we got to watch the sun go down and the firework display over the bay. Bliss! So glad the other restaurant was full.

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst out bike riding. It was a Sunday afternoon and everywhere else was booked, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.Beautiful setting right in front of the ocean and the food was lovely. My son and husband had lobster and the food was washed done with a lovely bottle of bubbles.A perfect Sunday afternoon lunch!

This should be the top spot in Sion but sadly it continually disappoints. The service is good but the food is average. Go for the view not for the culinary excellence. We've been twice and the food has been decidedly average both times!

With wonderful view of the sea in a quiet location, you can either sit outside on the generous patio area or else inside. On a hot day a gentle sea breeze is great, while waiting for the food to arriveWe had another great meal here, fish soup for starter and then sardines with fresh new local potatoes , and then a brioche perdue, a pastry with ice cream and caramel sauce, beautifully presented. Rose wine and a coffee at the end, what is not to like on a hot day?

We stopped by for a lunch and we were delighted with the fresh tasty faire. If you like classic French dishes (especially sea foods) then you'll love Le Cafe de la Plage. The muscles were especially good and it was a generous portion.

Decided to sit outside despite the wind as the setting was so lovely with the late sun. I had a set meal for €21 with choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 4 desserts. The fish soup was delicious, the fish dish of the day ,,hake with baby veg purée was really tasty and filling and the brioche with salted caramel was delightful. My partner had a huge smoked salmon starter, the lobster cheese bake and cheese plate. With a bottle of white wine from the region and a Ricard aperatif came to €79 which we thought was excellent value. Benjamin the young man serving us was friendly and attentive and spoke some English. All in all a lovely evening and would recommend.
