Le Bistro De Mario - Saint-Avold

No English menu or wait staff with English. What they do deliver is awesome French Food in a quant environment that was so comfortable and relaxing. The wine and dishes were amazing. This truly gave me a much more positive view of French Food.

The blue mountains one comes here to see were worth seeing, but my expectations of meager food offerings were surpassed by this cafe.

It seemed like a good idea to have a waffle at a waffle bar for breakfast.

We ordered waffles as the name indicates this is the speciality of the placeUnfortunately they were really dry and not freshly made.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! We drive over hour almost monthly to eat here! Food is great atmosphere is quaint and the family is welcoming and wonderful. It is a gem!

Saint ahold convenient stopover, bowled over by the war cemetery, but this little bistro was a lovely find. Menus on the wall, no English, but friendly and good simple local food. Was full by on a Friday. We were lucky although attempts to book...failed

Small and cosy family run French restaurant. Full not long after it opened at (all locals except for us) and its small so advisable to book in advance. Family run and they don't speak English. Fairly limited menu on blackboards on the wall ..mainly steak and fish dishes plus a lamb dish on the night we ate there. Steak was good and served with sauerkraut, side salad and delicious potatoes. Wine good and not overpriced. Service was efficient and prompt. Overall an enjoyable experience.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel receptionist. Food was excellent, fantastic atmosphere and the young guy playing the piano was outstanding. All round we had a wonderful evening at Mario's. Will definitely go there again.
