Nameste - CLOSED - Rueil-Malmaison

Let me first state this is not an Indian restaurant even though the sign outside suggests so, these guys have no idea what Indian food tastes like, let alone know how to cook it. There is nothing authentic about this place. Me and my wife visited this restaurant for dinner. Menu seemed extensive enough with the usual things listed. One of things I usually do when visiting a new Indian restaurant is never experiment and go with some fairly common dishes because any Indian chef should be able to whip it up. So we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani with Tandoori Paratha and a Garlic Naan. Alarm bells started ringing when my order appeared within 5 mins of ordering. That told me nothing was freshly cooked and it was probably re-heated stuff. As the entrees were unveiled my fears were confirmed. There was no Dal Makhani, instead there was Chana dal. I thought the waiter must have mistaken my order and maybe got Dal Tadka instead, when I brought this to his attention he said "This is Dal Makhani in our retsurant as the French clientele does not know any better". The second entree turned out to be any thing but Chicken Tikka Masala, it was a mix of tiny bits of chicken and vegetables like Capsicum and onions, tomatoes etc. obviously cooked sometime that afternoon and reheated and served. The breads were fresh but the dough was stale, Paratha tasted sour. After listening to the first response from the waiter we decided it made no sense wasting any more time and we left our food on the plate and asked for the cheque. Now most wait staff would ask you if the food was OK especially if they see everything left half eaten however these guys did not blink and had no issues in taking our money. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to eat Indian food, you are better off buying frozen dinners from the supermarket and nuking them in your microwave.

I've beet at least 10 times in this restaurant. I order Vegetarian dishes, and all the times the taste is great My 2 favorite dishes: - Palak Paneer - spinach with cream - Matar Paneer - peas with delicious sauce and cheese I've tried Matar Paneer in at least 5 restaurants, this one is THE best! The only thing I would love to see is whole grain rice, since I do not eat refined cereals. Staff is nice!

Had a dinner there during a business trip. The staff is really nice and helpful. The food is ok if you don't compare it with authentic one but the difference is in products and not in the way of cooking. For me not spice at all but I guess one always can ask for a "hotter" dish. Not about the food - the wifi password is a wonder))))

I visited twice to Paris and stayed close to this restaurant. For dinner this was the only place where I ate during my stay. nice tandoor food. During my earlier visit I had my dinner at Restaurant Le-Nameste in Rueil Malmaison.

Food is designed for local French palate. So make sure you request the food to be spiced up a bit if you want more authentic Indian food. Ambience is simple and service is decent.

The food here is not bad at all however since i am an Indian I can only rate it as an average food, yes you get Indian Pickle free, the ambiance is good and so is the service.
