Restaurant a la Couronne - Rœschwoog

The Atmosphere in this Restaurant is the best you can imagine. It is in every point the total Alsace-Restaurant, without being overloaded with tourist-kitsch. The people are warm-hearted and offer a real good service with the excellent food. They are all double- if not triple-language. The restaurant is owned and operated in the 4th generation by the same family. They work perfectly together.The Menu is perfect and offers a wide range of dishes, without being overloaded.Despite the fact that lots of Germans also go there ( the border is just a few kilometers away), you will meet the locals there, too. I have been there several times (I'm also one of those Germans) and was never disappointed. The whole family was always totally satisfied.

Beautiful little village in Alsace, where one can sit down and have lunch in a family owned restaurant. It was a Sunday so they were busy, you have to keep in mind the meal takes up to 2-3 hours, by tradition.The service was great, lovely waitresses we had and the food was amazing, traditional and home cooked.Loved it!

I'm somewhat biassed as I've visited this restaurant dozens of times over the years and have very fond memories of the times there. For me Roeschwoog really has the best tartes flambées in the Alsace. I like this restaurant particularly as it's very traditional, the used to note the orders on the table cloth. You're supposed to eat the flammkuechen with your hands. And most importantly, they do have a real wood oven. In most places they will use pizza ovens which does not give that nice smokey flavor.If there's only two of you, Au Cerf might be the cozier option, otherwise you're going to be fine here, although service can be a bit friendlier sometimes.

We were tonight La Couronne ” in Roeschwoog . We were there 17:00 oclock . When we finished our dinner and paid it was 21:00 oclock. Terrible service. Food is nothing special. I think the familly owned restauranr, is not happy to see customers there. As a customer , you feel there you are not wellcome. I will never gi there again. I dont recommend this place anybody .

It is a restaurant in a village pretending to serve farm food. Unfortunately the food is nothing special. But the most impressive thing is the abnormal aggressive staff. We waited 2 hours to receive our orders and at the end point they told us that we have not ordered anything. However after 2 hours we received half of the ordered things all in one time. I don't know if this was personal or an everyday attitude but it was strange. Never go there and lose your time and money.

an interesting place with a selection of flat bread options. apparently known as poor mans pizza by the french and frequent germans crossing the border. flammeb kuche. similar to wood oven flatbeead with selection of cheeses and onion and schinken. no tomatoes. actually quite tasty for a cold night

Clean and tastefull ! Nice service and a great decor. Great time being there. I recommend this place for any who wants to taste local food.
