It's a funny thing when you get to a restaurant just as it opens for the evening. It's quiet, you can sit where you want but you can also get that feeling you are not wanted just yet, they are not ready for you. I'm short sighted and there was only a chalk menu board at the bar. No attempt was made to bring it over until we asked. The first waiter we had was nice and helpful, the second not so. The food was average. It was ok but nothing better. We ate, we had a drink, we left. We paid a €100 for 3 main courses and a beer each. A hollow experience.
We were looking at trying a new place in Puteaux with somehow creative dishes and fresh products. That's how we landed at this place and very happy we did. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Food was well presented, nice array of colors in the plate, creative associations of veggies and textures.I had a fish tartare in a citrus sauce and a grilked fush with mini veggies. Felt healthy and portions were right. I would go back again!

We have dined at Ma Prairie twice during our month long stay in Puteaux and hope to get there one more time before we head back to the states. The young woman who seated us, helped us with the menu, and served us was charming. The first time there we dined on a scrumptious pigeon; the second time we enjoyed a wonderful whole roasted fish. Great wine pairings. All well priced. Ma Prairie is a gem as is their hostess!
