The H. d C.is friendly and clean. The food is not outstanding, but the menu du jour is good value . Evening meals very limited. Larger parties can be catered for given notice.
We stayed here while negotiating house purchase in the region. At the time, it needed a decor revamp, but I see this is now done. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The hotel and restaurant are wheelchair accessible. The restaurant has a workers' menu at lunchtime: an all-you-can-eat starter buffet, set main with a choice of dishes, cheese, dessert, wine and water for under 12 euro at time of writing. The dining room is big but generally quite full. If you're touring the area, this is a good place to stop for a great value lunch. Unusually for France, the chef was happy to provide a main course for my vegetarian partner. I still go on market day regularly.
We booked this place at nearly 10pm on booking.com We arrived shortly thereafter and were pleasantly received at check-in.
