Watson's Pub - Périgueux

Les arrivées assez tard dans la soirée (21h30), c'est pratiquement le seul restaurant qui était encore ouvert et qui pourrait nous servir. Il était pressé. Très bienvenu, bon choix de plats à des prix très corrects. Seulement petit plat, le serveur qui vient encaisser la note pendant que nous sommes encore occupés à manger... Sinon, je recommande, le saumon et son risotto ont choisi nos papilles.

Waitresses were lovely especially one who helped find us a table. Food is tasty and well cooked. I had the vegetarian salad and it was so fresh and tasty. No rubbish dressing either. Very hard to find something healthy and tasty in the local restaurants. Will definitely go back!

We went here after trying to find a restaurant with vegetarian options. There are several on TripAdvisor that claim to be vegetarian friendly, however only really have one option. This restaurant had several meat free choices, amd I dare say a couple of them would have been vegan. The food was good and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend for a reasonably prived dinner with lots of choice for all dietary requirements.

This place was really busy with younger locals having drinks. We went and were served by a lovely waitress and had a good spaghetti and salmon and cesears salad. Decent glass of white each and good value

This is a modern looking pub, pretending to be British, but make no mistake the staff does not really speak English. More importantly, when I asked if they have Mulled Wine, as it was just before Christmas Eve, the waitress said that they have. So, we took a table. Sadly, the waiter brought some white wine, when I said that this was not what I asked for. He was amazed and asked what I want, I politely replied that I would like some mulled wine. He did not know what it is, so I explained in English and French and he stated that he never heard of it!!! I was not only disappointed but astonished! As even in arrogant France you can get mulled wine in the festive season, it is called vin chaud!!! So, if you hope to get anything truly British or some mulled wine, save your time and go somewhere else.

We went to Watsons on my wifes birthday, with the intention,of enjoying a glass or three of champagne before having dinner, walked in with a cheery bonsoir,and sat at the bar expectently, there were two barmen one at either end of a small bar, one chating to a couple of customers watching football on tv, the other texting on his phone both ignored us totally, we sat patiently for five minutes chatting to each other, just feet away from these two,I suggested we leave and even when we stood and started to put our coats on the one still texting just glanced at us and went back to his phone,if the owner of Watsons bothers to read this I would heartly suggest he sacks the pair of them

We called in here for a quick drink at around 8.30pm. We ended up staying until 11pm as the atmosphere was so lively and great fun. We didn't eat as we'd just been out to dinner but the food being served looked great.We were also given "shots" of their homemade liqueurs for free!!We'll definitely go back the next time we are in Perigueux.

Had lunch there today.. Recommend the Cafe Gourmand..coffee with assorted desert pastries.. Good choices..open all day..
