One of my favorite restaurants in the entire world! The only problem: you eat too much and the portions are quite generous. You feel you've just fished a meal with Obelix! Probably one of the best brasserie type restaurants in Paris. Perfect for lunch and dinner with unforgettable classics such as the Piece de Boeuf with Os a Moelle of course, the artichoke salad , the lentil salad and to top it off the incomparable Baba au Rhum.

vichy tablecloth, authentic staff run by a friendly boss and stuff a complete card that respects all the codes of bistro cuisine, special mention for lentil salad, herring salad apple to oil and after for the parndards it's the party!

Be careful to check the note. the price of our desserts was multiplied by 4, fortunately we checked the note. it justifies the price increase by leaving you at disposal a jar of fresh cream, incredible! So only one recommendation is fleeing this thug establishment.

Fantastic French bistro that is both casual and elegant. The atmosphere is very casual with seating both inside and outside during the warmer weather; the location is in a wonderful section of Paris so this is a great place to have a relaxed meal, albeit an expensive one.Celebrity photos with the owner are prominently displayed everywhere and the owner is usually trolling around acting like he's the celebrity. Some reviews complain about different levels of service for locals and the super-chic; that might be true and not fair but welcome to inner Paris. Best recommendation is to try to act low-key, check out the menu ahead of time and figure out what you want to eat so that you don't scream I AM A TOURIST. Meals begin with a complementary selection of pates with freshly baked bread. We ordered the giant white asparagus, escargot, potatoes which were all top quality. I got a herring side dish which was amazing (if you like fresh herring). The signature dish, Piece de Boeuf au Poivre is a perfectly cooked and seasoned filet of tender beef that is very nicely proportioned. The wine selection is impressive and we had some great wines but the medium priced selections seemed to be priced to stretch you to the upper echelon listings. All in all this is a great restaurant that has a very eclectic atmosphere that is in a great section in Paris.

difficult to find a restaurant in the mood and the family cuisine. Here you can enjoy the very good bourgeois cuisine of extreme simplicity. museau, grated carrots, vinegarette lentils, then herrings with oil... to begin. excellent meats perfectly cooked. crispy fries. Avoid fish that would probably require more preparation. perfect liquor wine. Overall high prices especially for the dishes of the day - generally more sophisticated offered on slate: asparagus etc. Very pleasant. drunk and spontaneous service appreciated by regulars. In conclusion: a ringard or hyper trendy restaurant because it's timeless? We don't know very well, but we're back.

So, for who likes old breweries to defrosted decoy, offering a map of a classicism that even my grandmother would find ringard, the all very noisy considering the proximity of the tables and above all to crown the all with an incredible goujaterie mingled with a new-rich beauferie background, the gourmet of the dunes, it is Mozart.

I found my favorite canteen as I left it. Jean-Francois equals himself, denis and fifi always faithful to the post and in the plate everything that made the reputation of this house. we love or hate, I love it!!

I am parisian and i know that good french restaurants can surprisingly be hard to come by in Paris simply because there is always a new group of tourists that will make the next audience for a bad restaurant. As a result i tend to go to always the same few places where i know i will not be disappointed. this one tops the list and i have always with great success experienced superb french bistro experience with business partners, friends or family. no need to insist on the "speciale piece de boeuf" which is a high price but fully deserved for the quality. absolutely fully deserved. i don t know if many people know that the restaurant owns its own kettle. the starters and desserts are actually more than reasonnably priced and trust me i know what i am talking about as for dining in Paris and elsewhere. As for the owner he maintains a certain tradition of parisian gouaille which some might find disturbing but again - do we want to eat in standardised cafeteria for the rest of our lives? in anycase the a list of business and media / fashion / culture celebrities eating there speaks for itself!
