Great setting, great food (amazing cheese platter), great service and set under old plane trees. There is one set menu, like at home, with simple but well prepared dishes. And all this for a correct price. Book well in advance.

I can only agree with the reviews on this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and extremely competent. The food, we both had the foie gras for starters, very fresh. Then the only main course served, the poulet de bresse, truly delicious. Next came the impressive cheese board and to finish the rum baba. The wine is included in the price of the meal. A great experience.

We were a big family group - 10 - and loved dining outside under the tall plane trees. Cars speeding by made the young mothers nervous, however. The food, when it came, was good, especially the roast chicken, but it took forever to arrive. With a set menu, service shouldn't be as slow or as surly as it was. The prices were also higher than we'd expected from a previous visit. A lively scene, and great with a big group, but I doubt any of us will return.

I am still not convinced that this place is one huge French joke but for whom I am not sure. The concept is intriguing, one fixed price menu( including wine). No choice. The service and explanations as to what was going on were first rate. The cooking less so. The starter of tomato salad was very good ( but how can you fail with local tomatoes). The main course of snails , fish and veg for dipping into the aioli less so.Snails, aioli and fish were fine The veg less so. However to make up for that one of the best cheese platters you will come across.I think in the end a good meal and the many French people in the restaurant appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Chose this as it was close to apartment. Booked earlier in the day- just as well as it was full. Sat outside for drinks first. Great to see locals eating here. Hadn't realised everyone eats the same food. Had pisto, ( they took one look at us and realised we were not going to eat escargot!) rack of lamb with artichoke, I wish mine looked and tasted like theirs, fab cheese board and cafe ice-cream - not in House! Wine included in the price already opened on table. We asked for corks (I had rose) as husband was driving and they gave us a full bottle! Quite pricy but excellent food.

Tried to eat here three times in five days to no avail. The owners very charming and thankful for our interest but they were that busy and "complet 110%" all nights including a stunning garden wedding. Friends we were staying with though vouch for it's ambience and lovely food. Main course determined by the chef each day. Obviously popular and well worth visiting (maybe in the off season).

Le Bistro du Paradou should be on any list of restaurants to visit in the general St. Rémy area: delicious, clearly crafted-from-scratch food and genial, almost friendly service. The navigation system on the rental car failed us, as did the maps feature on our iPhone, but we ultimately found our way and arrived just a few minutes late for our reservation. The welcome could not have been warmer. The house wine is, essentially, all-you-can-drink (and included in the price of the meal) and the menu is simple: there is one entree (changes daily), a choice of two starters, and one dessert. On the evening of our visit, we enjoyed rotisseried chicken served with a pasta dish of morels and cream sauce. A massive cheese tray is brought to the table when the entrée dishes have been cleared. This was my favorite meal - and my favorite restaurant - of anywhere we dined on our trip through Provence.

What a marvelous experience this is to share in the bountiful food produced by this family with a house full of happy French families, all talking and laughing at the same time. Escargot or Soupe Pistou, garlic scented lamb chops, a magnificent cheese tray, baba au rhum and Creme brûlée, wine and more wine. Perfection.
