We ate at Le Gardin Thursday evening and enjoyed an excellent dinner at this restaurant such that we decided to make it our choice for our farewell dinner on Saturday 19th August. Again, the food was excellent (particularly Les Entrees) and the service attentive, if a little slow when more diners arrived. The talented chef who recounted he was at one time a chef at Four Seasons in London and worked with Gordon Ramsey, LeBlanc and other notables is, we understand, apparently, a recent arrival and our waitress, Marine, only there for the month of August so maybe we were just lucky but we had a most memorable experience at this restaurant. One failing, we were invited to take the 'torro' steak menu which was delicious but it was ex menu and we were not advised that it was €10 more expensive. I would probably have had it anyway but...one other thing, they ran out of Cognac so I had to have Calvados instead - some hardship! Altogether though, a highlight of our visit to Orange.

Had a late dinner in this somewhat confusing resto-brasserie-appendix-of-hotel place. We had a set evening menu of starter, main and dessert. Nice salad with foie gras for a starter was a pleasant surprise. Main of vegetables with beef was tasty but we were not asked the cooking of the meet. bizarre. Anyway it came out medium rare so was ok. I would say that the vegetables and potatoes cooking was rather wintery and not screaming "i am summer in provance". The dessert of profiteroles with ice-cream was ok but would gain more points if ice-cream had more pronounced taste. Staff did their best to answer the questions but was a bit confused over the menu. The wine we ordered was out of stock and of course we were proposed a more expensive bottle without being told the price difference before we asked if there is any....we asked for artisanal beer from the region....but apparently it was a wrong menu that we were given and they actually do not have beer any more. Overall, the bill of around 15-19eur/head was ok value for ok meal on a quiet little square;)

menu unique to 28 euros in the context of orange choregies. cold and insipid dishes. wine opened in the breeze so we don't even know if it's not refilled bottles. I've never even seen this. And served hot. and the pumpkin the ice served in a cut out of the dishwasher so hot. So the ice was a soup and we couldn't even recognize the perfumes. Avoid this restaurant is lamentable. We have the hotel card and preferably. We'll tell them it's not up to a 4-star hotel restaurant.

nice terrace in a pleasant environment. Unfortunately the service and quality of the food are far from being up to the height. More specifically:- entry served before the aperitif- the wine claimed several times has been served at the end of the frozen meal- dishes without taste served cold- a baking dish has returned without the filling - a lot of waiting, service overflowed even though the restaurant was not full.Bef, if we had known ...

The staff were attentive but diffident. The Menu of the day was keenly priced but very limited. Alas each of the two main course options- eventually - arrived cool and poorly prepared - overall impression was that it would simply be impossible to get any improvement. Observations on faces of other diners seemed to confirm our disappointment.
