I went with my friend who had never had tajine...she was very happy with her chicken tajine. I was looking for a couscous...their lunch menu only had merguez...I was hoping for a brochette poulet, but no luck...their dinner menu is bigger I hear.Service and mint tea pouring were very good. Price is reasonable. Nice decor and ambiance.

Visited L'Epicurien on our last night in Nimes. What a find. Beautiful courtyard setting, with dining indoors if you prefer. We were impressed by the friendliness of the waiter who helped us with the menu as neither of us had eaten Moroccan cuisine before. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. The service was and excellent. It was a highlight of our trip and would recommend anyone to pay them a visit. The Lamb shank was wonderful, as was the chocolate mousse. All in all, a delightful meal in relaxed setting.

The quiet interior courtyard was perfect for dining out on a warm August evening. We shared an excellent aubergine starter and then continued with the lamb shank with couscous and vegetables (huge) and a very good lamb tagine with fruit. Finished with delicious patisseries and mint tea. The refreshing mojitos we started with were a surprising plus. All in all a lovely dinner. Highly recommended.

I don't know whether this place has had a change of ownership, or whether we just caught them on a bad night, but our latest meal last Saturday was ruined by terrible service. They were trying to manage a Saturday night service with one experienced waitress and a couple of schoolgirl helpers. The food this time wasn't much better than average. There was a five minute gap between one main course arriving and the other. My second glass of (very nice Lebanese) wine was eventually delivered just about in time for dessert.

Really relaxed atmosphere with beautiful well-balanced dishes. We paid €15 each for starter, main course, dessert and mint tea, all of which was spot on.

We were very lucky to get a table without a booking (it was packed), though we had to wait for a little while. Once seated, the service was good and efficient. The food was amazing and well worth the wait. The courtyard is a lovely setting for a romantic evening. Highly recommend the kemia as a starter, to die for and the mint tea at the end of the meal to digest this lovely food (main portions are very generous).

there are lots of morrocan restarants this one is specail in courtyard with olives and oleanders draped with gauze it creates the feeling youve entered a mirage, the food has the usal array of tijanes but the cous cous is special what is their secret, and dont miss their pastries and mint tea service also excellent and attentive and its not expensive dont miss.

The menu looked interesting as did the ciurtyard. We were seated next to a family of three where the little girl was out of control. The staff couldn't do anything about her behaviour, but it set our night off to a screeching start. They were busy and the drinks took a while to arrive - even a bottle of water would have kept us happy but that didn't happen. The meals when they arrived were delicious - tajine l'agneau and cous cous l'epiceurian. My version had fruit in it and was sweet and full of flavour. My husband also liked his. And we would definitely recommend the mint tea!Later on the staff got busy packing up the tables and chairs - leaving people sitting waiting even though they'd already asked for l'addition. in the end we gave up even trying to find someone to ask for l'addition and stood near the door we'd seen staff vanishing into. With a smile we were invited in to pay - amongst the dirty pots and pans and glasses of the kitchen. First time for eveything I guess. By all means visit but don't expect it to be quick, One customer was wise - she took a book.
