Despite that the notice at the doorway said : open again at the New Year, when we went yesterday for our wedding anniversary lunch, the restaurant was firmly shut. Very disappointed as we have wanted to go for a long time.

Ravioli truffles ok entrecôte of beef poor quality not black angus not good filet which is pork ok but sauce of pepper tasteless same as morrille sauce on steak vegetables out of can but bacon adjusted to make it look fresh only customers nobody else there

Read the reviews about this restaurant and decided to detour a couple of kilometres from the lake road and climb the 120m to reach it. We weren't disappointed. It's an unassuming place and sitting down to eat Sunday lunch in our cycling gear with our bikes safe close by was no problem. The food was fabulous. We started with a beautifully presented gazpacho and warm bread, then had some nicely seasoned moule with a glass of very respectable house white. But the best was still to come. We ordered their matured Scottish beef (see photo) It was the tenderest and most delicious beef I have ever had in France and again served with a very good house red. Deserts and coffees equally good. Well worth the detour.

This place is a very special restaurant to is, we live close so we are regular clients, the chef has his heart in what he serves. They have a seasonal menu. The fois gras is so delicious and the moules is so good and his fresh fries just perfect.

This restaurant is run by the chef and two staff. He trained in Paris. The menu is not extensive but all the food is freshly prepared and cooked by the chef and the atmosphere is very friendly. We have an apartment close by and have eaten there many times. We have always been delighted with all the food and service. We have eaten at lunch and dinner. Lunchtime there is a very reasonably priced Plat de Jour and many locals eat there which is always a good sign.
