Restaurant de la Marine - Narbonne

Avec mon ami, nous avons fait le tour de la carte. A chaque fois ce fut un bonheur gustatif. Des découvertes de saveurs, et la fraîcheur des produits a toujours été au rendez vous. A cela vous ajoutez un service agréable, un accueil chaleureux, une jolie terrasse ombragée avec vue sur le port. Une adresse à retenir, à faire partager et sans modération.

We took a chance on this restaurant, we wanted an authentic French seafood dinner by the sea, we had no recommendations to go on, purely an internet search of the area, We booked a table the same day (crucial in France!), and arrived at the Marine to receive a warm welcome from the very friendly waitress, who tried so hard to explain the menu to us, despite her speaking about as much English as we did French! Eventually another member of staff took over, and he was so patient with his explanations (we are not habitual fine diners) of the food available, he also recommended a gorgeous white (local!) wine to go with the food. They brought out the (obviously very fresh) fish on offer that evening, which helped with our selections. The food itself was all superbly cooked and beautifully presented, served with no fuss and at no point did we feel rushed or anything less than valued customers. We left a generous tip, which was thoroughly deserved.

A great restaurant experience, in a modest, small scale setting, perfectly located as the name would suggest at the marina a Narbobbe - Plage. It's success? Great, fresh caught fish and seafood, catch of the day proudly shown to customers before ordering, then served excellently cooked, beautifully displayed, matched to good quality and appropriate wines. If I were a local I would eat here all the time! Congratulations to all involved

Superb seafood meal,using fresh produce.Pleasant staff and excellent service.Needed to book for Sunday lunch as it is quite small.Ate there twice and enjoyed both meals.

We don't tire of eating at La Marine.The view over the port and towards the sea is very pretty and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Chef has introduced some oriental influences to the menu and the spicy 'pickles' of marinated vegetables is a great discovery. There's also a delicious gravlax starter made with soy sauce.The fresh fish is cooked beautifully and chef isn't afraid of using herbs and spices. A new main course this year is a choice from the fish of the day, cooked in bouillon with coriander and lemon, very fresh tasting.We'll be back and will be reserving to make sure we get a table, as weekends are busy for this restaurant.

This restaurant is clearly very popular with the locals. First time we tried it was fully booked. Next time there were only 3 tables left which filled up quickly. We enjoyed seafood spaghetti and some fish of the day (selected from a tray with 5-6 different kinds of fish). Service is good.

We had a wonderful seafood lunch here. There were lots of delicious dishes to choose from and the owner brought out the 4 fish of the day to show us. Most of us chose various moules dishes which were delicious. The desserts were amazing. The couple who own the restaurant were so hospitable and charming, making us feel really welcome even although we arrived for a very late lunch. Do go and try for yourself!

This place gets better and better. It's very different from the restaurants you tend to find at the seaside. The presentation is beautiful and everything is freshly cooked. We can see why they're rising up the Tripadvisor ratings.Chef has started to introduce a few more spices and the Richesses de Mer starter with shellfish in a red curry / coconut sauce is delicious. There was a choice of fresh fish which was brought to us to choose from, served with either a jacket potato and nicely presented vegetables, or rice and vegetables.All the desserts are homemade and there were a couple of new ones like a frozen mandarine souffle.Delicious, we'll be back as soon as we can. The place is a gem.
