Whenever I send Moule Frites on the beach I go to Pierrot in Narbonne Plage. It is an excellent snack bar, with huge portions and they have a restaurant part on the beach side. It's not glamorous at all, BUT the food is good... Value for money (especially if you are hungry). What I love in this place (and I have for many years) is the warm welcome of Paulette. It's like visiting your favorite aunt. She makes all the service and the hustle and bustle, always with a smile and a feeling that she is responsible, you are always in good hands. The drinks are expensive 5 euros for a soft drink, but honestly, that never prevented me from having wine instead! Better to get a bottle for 18 euros than half for 12 but either, it usually works around 25 per person overall. The children's menu is indeed very generous, and looks like the son of my friend had a beautiful burger in a bungalow with many frits. Not the cheap insipid beige nuggets on most places. Even if you do not mind eating style, it is cheaper and you can still sit on the side of the kiosk. I really like the simplicity of the place and the lack of trend. I'm sick of all the beach bars in the area where you never feel very welcome (if you're a relationship of the mayor or something).
