L'escapade - Merville-Franceville-Plage

We have chosen a menu for a getaway (up to 24,50€ if my memories are good). The meal was pretty good overall even if the cream burned was not prepared at the minute (not hot at the top and cold below what usually makes its charm). The service was medium. the entrance was served very quickly after the aperitif, we had barely begun our drinks. the demand for the replacement of meat by a chopped steack was not accepted ("it is difficult because in the kitchen they are in the middle of a jam" while many tables were not occupied in the room and terrace !). After we removed our plates, we waited for the dessert cards that it then had to ask again to get them. the server has listed many desserts, not easy to remember. Once our choice was made, another waitress came to take the order and patatras most desserts were not on our menu, so we were forced to choose something else at the va-vite... to finish, the coffees we had to be demanded because the waiter was busy getting rid of and putting the tables in place at the other end of the restaurant. He had forgotten us. conclusion: a tourist restaurant that counts a lot on the fact that it will not see its customers for a second time because it is mainly passing.

pleasant reception in a very friendly setting. there are still few people and the ordering is fast as the service. visibly, we arrived hairy at the right time. our direct neighbours arrived at the same time that our mussels had still not ordered as we had finished our dish for a while and decided to leave. the mussels were good without being extraordinary. We waited a good time to order a dessert (20 minutes) and finally, we dropped, waiting becoming painful. a pity that the organization of the service is not more reactive because we must not be the only ones to get impatient. for the rest, prices, frame and quality of the dishes, everything is rather positive. we will go back out of season I think for another opinion because the geographical location facing the sea is pleasant.

overall the food is correct but the waiting is intolerable (bad cooking organization, lack of staff). Too bad because the frame is pleasant.

Sunday noon, after having booked (it's best), we were very well welcomed, with smile and good mood. the decor is original, the sea view is appreciable and the staff is in small care. the kitchen is of very good quality and served in good quantity. a mention for the dish of the day that was grilled bar net, quite exceptional. the value ratio is when to him very honest in view of the quality of the kitchen. very good general impression, I'd probably go back there to affirm my opinion.

excellent lunch from the entrance to the dessert. The products are fresh. We tested the dish of the day "Tontar" that was succulent. pleasant staff and impeccable service (we arrived for 12h00).

a restaurant I recommend without problem. I've been there every summer and we've never been disappointed.

all the dishes we had were tasteful, made with fresh products. Very well seasoned. I took a tuna tartar in the dish that was really great. It's all done home. pleasant reception, the setting is also nice.
