Rendez cette journée spéciale en dînant à Opanda. Situé à 2 avenue Apollo, 33700 Merignac, Bordeaux, France, Mérignac, nous sommes ouverts et enthousiastes à l'idée de gratifier ton palais. Notre note 3 et nos commentaires 321 témoignent de la qualité et du soin que nous apportons à chaque plat.
This being our second visit, shall hesitate before going again.Our first visit good but this last one not very good, food rather cld and bland in flavour.Handy as nearby our hotel but shall give it a mss in future, sorry as we do enjoy a good Chinese?
This is a chinese restaurant with a lot of starters, main dishes (hot or cold, fish or meat). less than 2km from Merignac airport you enter in a buffet restaurant. You ask to the waitress (or waiter) for a place and take anytime all you want to eat. You have to request drink at the desk . A special attention to the "wok food". Good and unsophisticated food.
Heading to Bordeaux Merignac airport you normally take exit 11b but take 11a leads down to a roundabout and you will find Opanda Chinese/Asian restaurant. Airport then is only 4 mins away. Chinese restaurant where you can eat your fill, lunch 13.90 and dinner 19.90 euros so is great value.Service, OK but it's self service , I think you can have waiter service also. Variety of starters is extensive and are tasty. Mains, again lots of choices but can taste bland with heavy use of batter and deep fried, Buy hey, that suits some people also. You can eat as much as you can and some people do..... Deserts are not great but again it is what it is. We've tasted fresher produce in other similar restaurants . Outside terrace is nice.
Went this evening, quite busy and the staff were quite pleasant. The food was luke warm and very bland.I asked for a spicier Thai stir fry and was given something that was at vindaloo level of hotness !I sampled the sweet and sour pork ( cold and the boiled rice was taken into the back, changed into special fried rice but the staff were putting the the hot food on top, which makes me wonder if some of the food has been there since lunch time !Buffet and beer was 23.70 euros ! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone !
O'Panda has a great choice of food / buffetts, salad bar ,wok, plancha & tastey soup and also a large choice of desserts.Lunch is €13.90 and dinner is €19.90; drinks not included. Lots of seating space for couples and or larger groups. It is close to Merignac airport and easy to find, being just off of the Rocade/motorway. Parking is not an issue although at lunch times it can be busey. I Aslo found it to be the only resturant that i have had to que up to pay my bill as this is all done at the single till at the main enterance, so be aware as you may need to plan your exit if you are in a rush.
We had a dinner at this restaurant as a family because it was right outside our hotel. It is a buffet style wok restaurant with friendly staff, good variety of cold and warm dishes. You can have lots of different types salads, seafood and meat dishes. Also their desserts section was very good.
I wanted somewhere easy and familiar. This place will never win prizes for the quality of its food. This is not fine Chinese dining but it's OK.Plenty of choice for all courses. Good make your own recipe wok. Service OK.Value for money is a bit questionable but if you are are hungry its very good.
Great selection of food, very busy which is always a good sign. Does help yourself menu for €19 per person.
