La Tour des Saveurs - Mayenne

Des amis connaissaient cet endroit et nous ont emmenés déjeuner. Nourriture fantastique à un prix très intéressant avec un excellent service dans un endroit charmant. Que demander de plus ?!

Ce restaurant avait l'air d'avoir fait faillite lorsque nous l'avons examiné à 17 heures. 30, il y avait des signes d'activité, à 19 heures. Et nous avons eu un bon repas servi dans un cadre agréable à un prix raisonnable. Le personnel était très professionnel.

Went for lunch and had the plat de jour. Very impressed, the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The lady that served was very friendly and efficient, can't wait for nicer weather as there is a Lovely outside eating area.

This restaurant is found under the Hotel reception (La Tour Anglais). It has a great exterior terrace overlooking the Mayenne river. Great for warm nights. Our server was great. She worked like a Trojan and ensured all guests were happy. In the kitchen the cook provided well presented and tasty food. We chose a fixed price menu (3 courses for 24 Euros) which had adequate choices and the food was good. A La Carte is also available. The menu is not vast but doesn't need to be. There's something here for everyone I suspect.

This is a great little restaurant, don't be put off by the upstairs bar which is not run by the restaurant. The restaurant decor is very fresh and clean. The food is once again a simple choice of meat or fish, the restaurant boasts of staying true to seasonal local produce. All three courses were delicious and great value. The waitress did a remarkable job of attending the busy restaurant single handedly with no compromise to the service. We all left happy and pleased to have another great restaurant to visit especially as the menu changes every two weeks, no time to get bored with the same dishes!

After visiting some other TA recommended restaurants (without a reservation) in this general area for Sunday lunch, we finally managed to get the last table at this restaurant. It was outdoors overlooking the river in a truly delightful setting. There was a large group occupying all of the inside space, so there weren't a lot of tables available for general bookings that day. We had the 3 course formule (24 euros on a Sunday - much less expensive on a weekday) which we enjoyed. I cannot recall all of the specifics but I had a pork dish for my main course which I thoroughly enjoyed, however I wasn't quite so enamoured by the apple tarte tatin that was my dessert. I ate much better pastry dishes in other restaurants. Coffee and wine were extra and both were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality ingredients put together in interesting, and generally well executed, combinations .
