Good dining option in the small village of Lussan. Covered outdoor dining option. Basic kitchen with traditional dishes using local produce. Tried the cheese muffin and the traditional pate for starters. The fish potato gratine was solid as a main dish. OK selection of local vines.

We arrived at this attractive restaurant bordering the square in the picturesque village of Lussan at lunchtime. However, when the waitress asked us what we wanted and I asked if we could eat, she looked very surprised and said they were no longer serving. I expressed surprise as it was 1.15 and the restaurant was busy but not packed. The waiter said it was exceptional. I wasn't sure if they had run out of food or the chef had closed the kitchen but the meal served to the table next to us looked good. We ended up ordering just a dessert and cheese but had to send the bread back as it was dry and not freshly cut. So after paying 20 euros for that and 2 teas, we left. As other reviews have praised the service, I assume it was a unusually bad day, certainly the staff didn't make us feel like valued customers.

Innovative cuisine, good value, borders quiet main square in most picturesque village with tremendous views.

This is a quiet restaurant in a secluded village. Attentive service, excellent food. You may have to book in the low and high season.

We have eaten here twice, both times for dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on both occasions. On our first visit we ate outside and on the second in the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed both times and the service friendly. The food is good and nicely presented. I would be happy to eat here again.

we eat there last nicht. Great little place in the center of Lussan. Simple menu, but nice, the food was excellent prepared and the plates looked very nice and tasted good . Our dog was welcome and water no problem. For me in was a...bit difficult to use the bathroom with steep steps going into the restaurant. my only word of advice the dessert with rasberry sorbet. For me it would have been excellent with only crème the cassis. The rum raisans , I personally thought were to much.

We had a grand dinner some time ago elsewhere in Lussan. Now time to try somethimg new. When making a reservation it sounded very formal, so eventhough the weather dictated shorts we went for slacks. Upon arrival shorts would have been in place. The diner...itself was nice, some nice touches, variation on a theme of warm goatschese with bacon and lettuce. Very nice presented. The maincourse was also very well presented, with nice touches, but the taste just bit better than average. The deserts were nice. Price/quality was better than OK.

Very nice French country food and the owners are great people. My only complaint is that the menu doesn’t change much. I’m a local. It’s not that it is bad, not at all. It’s delicious. But no need to look at the menu if you...have been here more than three or four times. But we still eat here and enjoy it a lot. The owners have only owned it a couple of years. At first they seemed a little lost. But now it is a great experience. Also a nice New Year’s Eve experience, assuming you don’t have to drive far. The wine (local wine, surprisingly well chosen and good) flows freely. Well worth a visit. Nice decor instead and deck outside. It is one of the few laces around Lussan which is open beyond just tourist season. If it is July or August, be aware they fill the tables quickly. You can ask for a reservation via phone or email.
