Petit restaurant sympa. Bonne découverte. Nous y retournerons.

We stopped here for a meal while on a day trip to Lille. It was a traditional and cosy little restaurant - food and service was wonderful. Our waitress spoke excellent English which was helpful with my broken French. The set menu wasn't available so we chose from the main menu and then had the cheese plate for dessert. Quality of food was wonderful and the red house wine good too. I would definately go back.

Went here with some colleagues last night when in Lille for business.Enjoyed the meal and despite limited language skills managed to negotiate the menu and pick some good stuff.Portions were good sized and everyone was happy with the choices made, even the pigs trotters.Bill was 170 euros for four, two courses and some drinks each, which is probably the going rate for this part of Lille.I would go again.

In Lille for a conference and popped into this little restaurant near the Opera House. Charmingly old fashioned zinc bar, checkered tablecloths, photos of old Lille.Cooking traditional, excellent and very reasonably priced. Had a home-made terrine starter, a steak frites and summer fruit dessert. Good. Hoice of again reasonably priced wines. Friendly staff.Highly recommended

This was a great group dinner with great honey desert, great meat and great strong local beer. The service is very good, kind, with patience to explain all the dishes and speaking several languages. Truly a great time spent there.

Popped in and asked if was at all possible to get a table for 8. The manager said give me five minutes. Found a table for 8 upstairs. The service was excellent, very friendly. I happened to speak a bit of French but the waitresses were so patient while I explained to my companions what each item was on the menu. We ordered starters and amin courses and some pichets of house wine (which was not great but improved by the third or fourth pichet.). I ordered the assortment of terrines (3 different terrines) which were epic, then petits sale de lentilles, a small pot of lentils with a huge pork shank. The rognons ordered by a colleague were very good apparently. we went without dessert but some had an Irish coffee which was apparently ''the proper deal''. Allin all an excellent meal, thoroufghly enjoyed by my comrades, most of whom had never had tried the local cuisine, but were impressed. We might have chosed a different wine the next time as the house wine was not to their taste, although I thought it was fine, but that was the only small black mark by any of my colleagues. Thoroughly recommended restaurant, and I shall certainly return when I am next in Lille

This is a small place, clearly run by a family, that was totally bustling on the Friday night we were there. Basically, they were overrun, with a combination of locals and tourists. Good food if you like meat, and you have a somewhat adventurous palate. I ordered a dish that is a selection of their specialities, and got a little of everything, from pig's foot, to tripe, to homemade sausage, and smoked pork. Was very delicious, but heavy, and not the sort of thing everyone (who is not French) might be comfortable trying. As the name suggests, they have excellent light red wines at good prices. I quite liked my meal here. Choose this place if you want the real deal.

Food was generally good - regional meat dishes especially. Main reservation was that, having had our booking for 2pm accepted without qualification we arrived and were rushed, being told that the kitchen closed at 2pm!
