Comme le suggèrent notre note 4 et nos commentaires 184, nous n'offrons rien de moins qu'une expérience gastronomique de premier ordre.
I cannot comment on the food as I have never managed to actually eat at this restaurant. My first visit was July 2015 when I was shown to a table asked if I wanted an aperitif, served the drinks and then left unattended for over twenty minutes, when I enquired if we could have a look at a menu I was told they were really busy and I would be dealt with shortly.Feeling like I had just been given a rebuke by a headmistress I paid for our drinks and left and went to the nearby La Closerie restaurant. A far better choice. Move forward to tonight when La Bodega was not so busy and decided to try again. My wife and I entered to be met by a gentleman who I now know is the owner who put up two fingers in a V sign and said DEUX he then marched off with us in tow to a table and without another word being spoken pointed to the seats. We sat down and he promptly banged down a small blackboard on the table and left. Being a mild manner sort, I enquired after my wife to inform me if I had perhaps upset this gent by entering his establishment, this guy could learn some lessons in manners and etiquette. Needless to say we left, it might sound strange but I personally work hard for my money and when I decide to spend some of it I expect at least the very basic manners to be offered.Really very poor customer service and I can only say that I wont be trying for a third time to go there. You have been warned.
Very sunny day out in Port Leucate, so decided to get some lunch. Places we have eaten in before were full, or too busy to sit with our large dog. (Used to have a apt here for 10years.) Walked along the Quay, and came to La Bodega. Was busy but we could get a table which was suitable for the dog. Friendly owner welcomed us and showed us menu. My friend and I had a great mojito, husband on sprite as he agreed to drive home, which made the guy laugh. All food was freshly cooked and served timely but never rushed. We had a combination of pork, fish and mussels all of which were very delicious. Sat there that long got a great suntan
